Designs cool and matches the ps5. Reason for 2 stars…randomly searches for input. Even in the middle of a game. Scree will also go black and when it comes back the picture is fogged out. There’s an update for the monitor, from the firmware version it was on…the update could possibly fix those issues, however you won’t be able to find out unless you have access to a windows computer with a usb c port. I don’t. So I returned it and went with a lg 27gp950 instead. No issues there.

This is by far the worst. Sure it's pretty and plays games really well, but that's not an excuse for the build quality and quality control. I've had dead pixels on two of these displays. They are ultra sensitive and will not hold up as well as a Dell monitor. Don't get me started on the stand that's included... it's awful. I would say that you should buy an ergotron with it, but an even better idea would be to just not buy this monitor. It's not a good product, there are lots of issues with just about every feature of the monitor.

The LCD panel fitted to this unit is manufactured with high precision technology, giving a functioning pixel ratio of at least 99.99%. A very small proportion of pixels may be stuck, either always off (black), always on (red, green, or blue), or flashing. The picture quality is outstanding both on PlayStation five and PC. You will have to update the monitor once you receive it. I had to watch a video from Sony on how to update the monitor. I would suggest doing this before you start. I’ll make the process a lot easier or once it’s updated. It’s good to go. I ended up buying the monitor at a discount because I bought an open box one I would say go this route if you wanna save some money but other than that, this thing is awesome great.

I use this monitor with my pc that has an amd Rx 6800 xt and it works really well together. I did have initial problems because I was using a display port cable that was 1.2 and it was doing the searching for signal problem that people have been complaining about. I went to buy an hdmi 2.1 cable and same problem happened and I was locked at 120hz without being able to choose 144hz. I went back to the store and bought a display port 1.4 cable and all the problems were resolved. If you are going thru the same problems just please don’t buy a cheap 5 dollar cable because you’ll have flickering problems. The monitor is super easy to set up and my kids I are loving it now.

Sony Inzone M9 Gaming Monitor

I had to swap the HDMI to a Display Port. The issue i was having was the monitor wouldnt detect the HDMI input. Swapped other HDMIs as well. This was on occasion and could be a settings issue.

MAJOR FLICKERING ISSUE WITH PS5

The major problem with this monitor is that there is MAJOR flickering issue when playing on a PS5 and using VRR. I have researched this issue and found that people recommend turning off VRR. Of course this fixed the flickering issue but this should not be a requirement. For $899, and it having been made by Sony, the company that also makes PS5s, it should work exactly as intended with a PS5. Also, if you want to update the firmware of your monitor and don't have a Windows computer, tough luck because there is NO way to update it with a MacBook! If you want to experience next-gen gaming, don't use a PS5 on this monitor and use your hard-earned money elsewhere!

I then read specifically the reviews for this monitor before purchasing. I purchased it yesterday immediately for my PS5 and I LOVE IT! I get to use 120 HZ in Call Of Duty's graphics settings and the game is fast and SMOOTH. The 1ms response time is a dream! My KD went from 1.4 to 1.71 in just a few hours. I did see other reviews where people's monitors were damaged but mine is in mint condition and I love it! I this monitor to anyone looking for a 4K gaming monitor with VERY quick 1ms response time and Variable Refresh Rate for the BEST gaming experience.....especially on a budget!

While we can’t recommend a third-party monitor stand or universal monitor mount due to product safety reasons, the VESA pattern on the back of the monitor is 3.94 x 3.94 inch (100 x 100 mm), which can be used for mounting. Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I initially returned my first unit since I thought it was too high priced, but after trying an lg 27 4k 160 overclocked monitor around the same price and the Samsung gaming monitor 28in 4k, BenQ, and asus models, this monitor is hands down the best for the ps5 and maybe for those connecting a pc or MacBook (even iPad Pro) at the same time! The features the inzone m9 provides for ps5 that’s not available on most monitors is just unbelievable i purchased it again. Many reviews say the local dimming, price, and design are negatives oddly and take it with a grain of salt. This monitor’s color accuracy, hdr600 that auto adjusts based on game scenes is not a gimmick. Plus I never and this isnt a joke touched the osd settings to switch from ps5 to pc or my MacBook EVER. It automatically switches for you when you turn on your mac or go back to the ps5 (when you turn it on or off). This feature itself makes the usage of this monitor absolutely amazing. Yea the design is polarizing but it is a breathe of fresh air and it indeed saves desk space. Whether you buy it on sale or full price, once you start it up, you’ll realize why this monitor’s asking price is as such. Sony really outdone themselves on their first attempt at the gaming monitor category. Ignore what people say negatively on this monitor and give it a try YOURSELF you won’t be disappointed.

But after playing on my PS5 with it, it’s worth it. If you’re on PC, it’s meh. I already have a 44 inch Aorus 4k 144hz one but realized the screen is massive. This screen is tiny and exceptional for those dubs in Warzone 2.0

Unsatisfied with "open box"

Im not sure who determined that, but they obviously did not do their job correctly. Also when receiving the monitor i had asked the associate if it was tested. They had lied to ne, because it did not even turn on. After taking off the god awful bubble wrap job the screen was pulling apart. Looking at it closer i notice that this item looked tampered with from all the marks on the back where partial label was scraped off seems to ne as if it was a Display model, which no one would want to purchase. Being that it was dated before release date. I could be wrong. Coming from a customer service associate in retail, i hope best buy can understand i am upset and will be willing to make it right when i bring it back. As a heavy gamer that purchases 90% of my electronics from there (3rd monitor in the last two months from there) please make it right so i dont have to resort to an online company.

Pricey yet disappointing

I got it to connect to a console over HDMI and my MacBook Pro over DisplayPort. Gaming over HDMI worked great for the most part. Though the monitor initially worked with my Mac, it started failing to provide any image at all by the second day of use. At one point, it displayed a bizarrely colored, distorted image and I called it quits. Even if it continued to work, I probably wouldn’t have kept it for three reasons. First, the color accuracy out of the box was blue tinted and oversaturated. I tried to calibrate it, but never felt completely satisfied with the results. I would not recommend this for color critical work. Second, the monitor stand was terrible. The odd tripod was a bit too wonky for my liking and took up too much space on my desk. There’s an opening through the stand to route cables through, but I could barely fit one HDMI cable through, let alone all the others I needed. This created a cable management nightmare. Third, the holes for a VESA mount are in a recessed area that was too small for me to install a VESA stand I had previously used with other VESA certified monitors. This dashed my hopes of quickly getting rid of the awful included stand. I considered getting another stand, but I couldn’t be sure it would fit onto this monitor without trial and error. That’s a hassle. Some other nitpicks: The colored light on the back is too faint to be noticeable. Additionally, switching between inputs causes the monitor to flicker and start “scanning” for a signal. Plenty monitors do this to some extent but this seemed to take several seconds longer than normal. Also, the HDR FALD system worked okay when gaming. But the zones are too large and the peak brightness isn’t high enough to give a true HDR experience comparable to contemporary TVs. It’s also an IPS panel, so the contrast is inherently limited. The HDR implementation is serviceable but not quite there. I wanted to like this monitor, but I just could not bring myself to even replace it. A monitor at this price from a brand such as Sony should not have this many issues. Wait for something better if you want a flat, color accurate, and HDR capable monitor for gaming in this size range. There are cheaper 4K 144hz monitors that will do a decent job, discounting HDR, in the meantime.

For optimum performance, it is recommended to install the latest software version of the gaming monitor. If you set the Local dimming to Low or Off, this may cause the whole screen to look washed out. Turning off the Auto picture mode may help resolve the issue.
The INZONE M9 also features the INZONE Hub software which allows you to personalize experiences by customizing a wide range of operations, including a variety of sound and picture settings. You can also assign specific picture mode and sound profiles of the headset to individual computer applications and games. Help guides and manuals are also available on our support website. With these steps, you may have had a better experience with the gaming monitor.
