I wear behind the ear hearing aids. I still tend to crank up the sound and my wife will work from home on occasion. Plus she is almost always “on call” for her job. I needed to find a TV with a headphone jack which would allow me to plug in a Bluetooth transmitter to connect with my Bluetooth headphones. Another feature that I needed was a TV that worked with Google Assistant. Sony is one of the few TV’s that fit my needs. The quality of the picture and build are fantastic. We had another major brand, which has now been relocated to our bedroom, and while removing/remounting the TV’s, I found the sturdiness and weight of the Sony far surpassed the other brand. Since we have the TV mounted on a portable stand, sturdiness is reassuring to us.

Initially, I didn't want a tv that I considered too large so I upgraded from 32 inches to 43 inches. The viewing quality was perfect from any angle. I added a soundbar because I wanted more base.

You know I have had many TV over the years. Everyone still thinks the bigger the TV the better. But many people do not realize that a Tv that over whelms a average room. Does not do your eyes any good. Most TV'S are place near center of the room and are about 6 feet from viewing and provide you have place the TV on a stand. Now this does not include hanging the TV on the Wall. And you probably will need a Larger viewing screen. I had a 50" on a stand that was set back 6 feet. I was getting headaches and was getting blurred vision. So I find getting something in size of TV 40" to 43" is perfect for placing on a stand. But quality counts did a lot home work on the Sony 43" LED X800G Series. And I have nothing but excellent things to say plenty of hook ups for extras like sound system , sounds bar 4K Blue Rays players , Video game consoles. I think you get the idea and for watching movies , sports , streaming , excellent for your viewing pleasure. Smart TV can eliminate a lot of cable boxes & satellite receivers. If do don not the space and with the HDR & 4K viewing even provides easy viewing for your eyes. Has great sound as well and very easy to set up and set up to your internet provider. I highly recommend to anyone. Thanks

I was looking to upgrade my old 32” Samsung from 2012 and was looking for a 43” size in 4k. So whatever I got it would be a huge upgrade. I did a lot a research beforehand and was driving myself crazy going back and forth between Sony and Samsung, haha. I know 4k doesn't make a while lotta difference at this size but I wanted it anyway. I mostly watch Netflix/Hulu and play games. Looks great doing both those things and I dont feel I have to play with the settings all the time. And when I’m gaming I don’t really notice the input lag but I don’t play competitively at all. Honestly, the Samsungs also looked great. They have super vivid colors and have an edge for gaming (less input lag) but Sony is great for movies. I personally like the Sony/Android OS better but the remote is a bit busy and has a ton of buttons. I wish there was a much more simplified remote but its not a dealbreaker by any means. I got this TV as a black friday deal and for that price I would say it was worth it. I don’t know if I’d pay $600 as Samsung has a similar model for a lot less. But nevertheless I do really love this TV!

We replaced a 15 Samsung plasma that was finally going. This Sony has an excellent picture, was easier to hook up with our surround sound system with no extra adapters. Basically, it was $100 cheaper than a comparable Samsung and we are very happy with it. It also is so much lighter than our old TV!

We were looking for a 43" flat screen for the bedroom. We first decided to just make our decision based on lowest price on a good name Brand TV. We purchased a 4K Ultra something or other LG. It sounded like a good idea, but after installing I noticed quickly that the refresh rate on it was horrible, meaning noticeable pixelated edges at times on moving people/things. We also have a LG 55" OLED in our family room that has a great picture, but pricey. I went to best Buy to see what they had that would compare to the LG OLED, that they don't make in the size we wanted. A salesperson quickly pointed to this 43" Sony Bravia that had a great picture and said it was luckily on sale at that time. With the -250 sale price, it wasn't much more than the cheap LG. Returned the LG and bought this Sony. Have had it for a few months and love it, no regrets.

I have not tested all the features it has but so far I'm very please with the picture quality. It is true that this tv still running on Android 7 but given how Sony take its time it will have the update to Android Oreo or you can manually update it. It's on Sony's page. The sound it's alright but nothing to brag about. I do like how I can plug in my external 2Tb HDD and while it has trouble reading some files you can download VLC and it works like a charm. The option to download apps it's pretty good. So far Amazon prime video, Netflix and HBO Go work pretty good. It can also have access to videos store in my pc without problems. It has Bluetooth for voice commands and so far so good. I have not try to use my wireless headphones to see if they work, for what I heard they work with only Sony's headphones. The remote feels pretty good, I only wished it updated it looks. It looks kind of outdated but all the options are there but again I have not use most of them. Over all I'm very happy with my purchase, yes it's a bit pricey but worth it in my opinion. I hope it last.

I researched this decision a lot, and decided to spend a bit more for this Sony than go for the other two main brands. The leading consumer's ratings organization listed this one as best of the 43" models, with a very good viewing angle, good sound, and an excellent predicted reliability. I also wanted a model that had the feet or stand centered or away from the edges in order to fit on my small entertainment center. This TV is almost perfect. The picture's excellent, after some tweaking of course. I don't watch sports, so I set mine to "cinema pro" under picture adjustments, for a more natural looking picture with a refresh rate of 60 to eliminate the dreaded soap opera effect. I also set the sound to cinema, which provided more depth and dynamics. The TV was much easier to set up than I was expecting, with Android 8 pre-installed. The smart TV features are fast and seamless with no wi-fi connection problems on the first try, so I don't imagine I'll need my ROKU player much anymore. Even the remote was simple to sync up to my cable box after plugging in the included "IR Blaster." And once I set up a Google account, adding the Amazon Echo Dot to voice controls also went smoothly. The fine, flat edge around the front is very stylish, unlike the cheaper competitors' shiny black plastic, and the feet are heavy duty and sturdy. My only minor complaint is that the set doesn't quite sit high enough up from the table top, so the largish cable box blocks the remote receiver on the lower front center bottom edge. But we got around this by resting the feet on four elevated pads. And soon we'll get rid of the cable box anyway.

The tv is great for gaming. The color depths and detail make it enthralling. It does have a low refresh rate how ever that can be dixed with high def HDMI cable. The tv is also great for ps2 and detailed smoothing for old setting. Movie wise it played the movie lone survivor with great quality! Like the lighting felt like you were in the movie. Way better than my old plasma tv. Am very happy i can play my ps2.

I use it in my bedroom and its a great upgrade from my old Sony 40 inch. That one suffered from white ghosting lines on several channels. This one does not have that issue and it has a good picture in normal HD. The 4K is really good also. Cord management is a bit small for thicker cords, but I deal with it. Wish the legs were smaller, that makes the cords more visible on a stand.

While the picture quality is as excellent as the transmitted source will allow, my only disappointment is the Sony remote. Tiny buttons must be pressed perfectly, sluggish response and the configuration is awkward for channel changing. The numeric keys are in the upper portion as opposed to the mid section for ease of changing one handed. We went back to our Dish remote. That being said, the overall experience of set up was smooth and easy to follow.

Replacing my 12 yr.old 32" Samsung HD, TV which still worked really good, but time for an upgrade... I looked at a lot of TV's TCL, Hisense, etc. and another Samsung as well, all had really good picture quality, but when you view from an angle, it just was'nt good. The Sound was another factor, they all were weak, needing a sound bar added. Samsung sound was really disappointing. Another factor was Ability of Remote which was very important to me, Not much options on control of functions. So as i looked at this Sony 43' i was very impressed, quality of picture overall from all angles was excellent, and the Sound is also better than all of them, no really need for a sound bar, at least for me, plenty good, if you want to blast it, then add a sound bar. The Remote has many options for adjustments, to dial in everything you can think of, it sets up fairly easy, i had afew hiccups, but that was on me. This is my first Sony, though it was priced a bit more than i was looking at, it was worth it, and did'nt mind paying that extra cash. I do like the Andriod TV Idea, it pairs up with my Andriod phone, but the Play store feature, does'nt get all the apps, your phone gets, it's formatted a bit different, and seems to be limited, but it may be just me. I read alot of reviews as well , this was so consistent with overall reviews, and helped me make that final decision.

The picture quality is outstanding and the audio is amazing I tried an Lg but the you needed a sound bar to get decent sound. Also the picture although it was good this Sony is far superior. The one problem is with the Bluetooth. Unable to pair Sony Bluetooth speakers with the TV. I installed a MEE Bluetooth transmitter and that resolved my problem. I highly recommend this tv.

The Sony 43" X800G met all my expectations and more. I use the Sony for OTA Broadcast viewing and I have to say it has the best color picture I have ever seen. I'm hard of hearing and the sound is crystal clear especially voice. The connections in the back are very compatible with both old and new technologies. I don't use the Sony for gaming or internet so I have no comment there. The price makes the Sony a real value. Thanks, Tyrone.

I’ve always been a fan of Sony TV’s and this one absolutely did not disappoint. I do a lot of streaming through Netflix and Amazon so having a good TV processor is very important; which is why I like Sony. The overall picture quality out of the box was stunning. After setting up the TV, I re-watched a few recorded basketball games and a few avengers movies and was super impressed with the stunning picture, colors, and especially the motion. It’s Sony Quality at it’s best and I highly recommend this model!

Picture quality is very good. Two saw-horse stand is ticky-tac and surely not as secure or safe as a single, center pedestal stand. Set-up time was longer than one would expect although instructions are quite complete. Remote requires unobstructed visual contact with center control on bottom front of TV. Not sure if made best choice when considering two competitors.

I purchased this tv in Nov 2019 mainly because of the brand. My reason for purchasing was because of bluetooth. Since purchase, I used my surround receiver for bluetooth headphones (I'm very hard of hearing). Last week, my receiver died so I decided to run everything through the tv (including a new sound bar). When I tried to activate bluetooth on the tv, there was no option for it. Best Buy ad said it had bluetooth. This being a new tv, I just assumed it had bluetooth. After all, it is a Sony and bluetooth is not a new thing. How very disappointed at Sony to find out there was no bluetooth on the set. The tv is great (except for all the different menus - not easy to find stuff) .. but bluetooth should be standard by now .. even in 2019. My next tv I will have to see proof and not depend on the description. Shame on you Sony.

We needed a new TV, not too big for our living room and this one fits our space perfectly, gives us a great picture, is easy to use and the sound is good enough that we do not need a sound bar, like so many of the new TV's today. We are happy with our purchase. I can't talk about the set up, as my son in law did all of that for us as we are senior's and don't know the first thing about how to go about it, but once it was set up, it is very easy to use.

I've purchased Sony TVs for decades, so perhaps I'm a bit biased. I currently have one of the amazing Sony A8G OLED screens in our living room and a 5 year old Sony LED in one of the bedrooms. We needed a new TV for another bedroom, though; one that is not too large and has excellent picture quality. Of course, I checked out what Sony had to offer. The 43" X800G seemed perfect. I ordered it online for Best Buy and it was promptly delivered in perfect condition. I was impressed that Best Buy shipped the TV inside of another box. Set up was easy. And, wow! The picture is fantastic! I was a bit concerned that this model had an IPS screen which, while giving better off-angle viewing, does make the blacks somewhat lighter. In actual use, though, the blacks look great. This TV can get very bright if needed. The screen handles room reflections very well. We watched a variety of programming including sports and movies, both over the air and through a Roku Ultra and Apple TV 4K. Everything looked wonderful, with great colors, contrast and motion. If you're looking for a TV in this size and price range, I can't recommend the Sony X800G enough!
