recently purchased the Sony A7 IV from Best Buy, and I couldn’t be happier with my decision. Colors are vibrant yet natural, and low-light performance is top-notch — minimal noise even at higher ISOs. Video Features: One of the main reasons I upgraded was for video, and the A7 IV truly shines here. 4K 60p with 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording gives me cinematic quality straight out of the camera. S-Cinetone is a game-changer for beautiful skin tones, and the autofocus in video is insanely accurate. Autofocus & Performance: Sony’s real-time Eye AF for humans and animals is blazing fast and incredibly accurate. Whether I'm shooting portraits or fast-moving action, the A7 IV keeps up effortlessly. Build & Usability: The updated grip feels solid and comfortable in hand. Truly gets the job done, beautiful quality, better than the a7iii just because u wont have to upgrade gor a while, and way better than my old cannon rebel t7. Auto focus is awesome, and the custome setting’s definitely make it easy to switch to for any situation, shot music videos, advertisements, sports highlights, and being able to switch to photography on the fly is another amazing feature. I love it!

I've been using the Sony A7 IV for several months now, and it's hands-down one of the most versatile and powerful mirrorless cameras I've owned. As someone who shoots both photo and video professionally, the A7 IV hits a sweet spot between image quality, performance, and usability. Image Quality: The 33MP sensor offers stunning resolution without compromising too much on low-light performance. Dynamic range is exceptional, and I find the colors straight out of the camera to be noticeably more natural and pleasing compared to previous Sony models. Skin tones especially have improved dramatically. Autofocus: Sony’s real-time tracking and Eye AF (for both humans and animals) are industry-leading. It's fast, reliable, and rarely misses – whether I'm capturing portraits, events, or wildlife. This camera practically eliminates the worry of missed focus. Video Capabilities: As a hybrid shooter, I appreciate the A7 IV’s 4K 10-bit 4:2:2 internal recording. It’s a major leap forward from the A7 III. Oversampled 4K from the full 7K readout at up to 30fps looks incredibly detailed. Plus, the addition of S-Cinetone makes grading faster when I want great results straight out of camera. Ergonomics & Usability: The improved grip and layout feel great in the hand, even during long shoots. The fully articulating touchscreen is a welcome update, especially for vlogging or shooting at tricky angles. The new menu system is far more intuitive than previous versions. Other Highlights: Dual card slots (CFexpress Type A + SD) for flexibility and redundancy Great battery life for a mirrorless camera Built-in streaming and FTP options are handy for fast workflows Active stabilization mode really helps in handheld video Room for Improvement: The only real drawbacks are the rolling shutter in 4K60 (from the cropped mode), and the menu can still be a little deep at times. But neither has been a dealbreaker for me. Final Verdict: The Sony A7 IV is a true workhorse that delivers exceptional results for both stills and video. Upgraded from an older DSLR and having decent knowledge from using the Sony a6000 this camera was a easy decision to buy. Very minimal learning curve if you have experience with DSLRS or other smaller crop sensor cameras. UI is nice. Overall design is nice. Nice button placements over the A7 III. Camera is super fast at 10 frames a second. Great battery life. Versatile memory options. Sony creators app for remote control or dumping pictures to mobile is a huge improvement over the play memories app all around it’s just a solid camera

Bought this camera, used it for an event the day of, and I totally fell in love with the camera and the kit lens. The pictures come out great, and the digital display takes it to another level as well. The only downside is if you're a videographer; I recommend buying a small fan for the camera off of Amazon so it doesn't overheat.

This is an amazing camera. It’s absolutely perfect for me because I shoot lots of still photos and I still want to have decent video quality which the a7 IV provides. I love taking pictures even more than I did before, and I might move from casual to amateur photography because I want to learn everything about this camera! It’s very pricey, especially considering my original budget was about $800, but it was well worth it for me. I probably didn’t need the upgrade so soon, but the next upgrade for me will be years from now since this camera is so solid. I’m glad I have the Best Buy card and the Total Tech membership bc I don’t have to worry about interest and I love having Geek Squad Protection in case something happens to it. Honestly would not have bought the camera as comfortably as I did without Best Buy’s perks. (I also got it during the Sony discount event for $500 less).

The Sony A7 IV is an amazing camera. It is a powerful full-frame mirrorless camera with great features such as great Image quality. The Auto focus is hands down the best, high speed continuous shooting and great battery life. It is a superb all-rounder and the features justify its cost. I highly recommend this camera.

I have gotten a chance to train on this camera and when the coach’s came to buy a personal camera it was a no brainer. Love this camera

As a photographer and videographer, this camera hits every mark for me. I use it for my full-time job and side gigs, and it hasn’t disappointed me once. The image quality is ridiculous—extremely sharp, especially paired with my Sigma 28–105mm f/2.8. Autofocus is fast and reliable, even in low light. The color science and dynamic range make post-work a breeze. It’s just as solid for video, with clean footage and excellent stabilization, and the flip screen is clutch. Easily one of the best investments I’ve made for my gear bag.

What an incredible camera ! The lens are great as well for all your needs , you might need a better zoom depending on what you are filming but besides that it’s a great tool to use !. Battery life is good , make sure to turn on the overheating settings !

Love love this model it’s the perfect camera, some lag on my shutter when I shoot too fast

As a shooter of Canon for over 20 years, my friends and professional shooters pals thought I was joking when I said I switched to Sony. As a pro you can only accept freezing up and overheating on shoots so many times until you’re fed up. Especially when Canon said it was a memory card issue or how I should shoot long form interviews. The band the Canon R5C as a recalled version of the R5. Either way I’m glad they did because the A7IV is lighter, the glass is smaller and just as good. Shooting with the updated menu system, touch screen, higher quality EVF and improved color science has made using this camera an absolutely joy. I’ve had it for a month now and shot 4 commercial jobs and I haven’t had any issues. The colors and performance is top notch and I now get why so many shooters have been screaming from the rooftops on how much fun the Alpha system is to work with. Creating art and delivering my best to my clients is goal number one, having gear that allows me to do that with very little interference is the next. I highly recommend this camera.

Excellent camera, coming from a 10 year old Nikon D7000, this thing is incredible. The AF system alone is a huge reason to go with this body. Low light photos are out of this world. The only con is the kit lens but if you're a pro, you already know that. I got the Sigma 50mm 1.4 to pair with this and its a monster setup. I am NOT a pro but use this as a hobby. Overkill for me but great piece of equipment.

Great camera, great pictures fresh out of the box. The kit lens works for most situations, and the ergonomics are amazing. Definitely a great camera for those looking to step into something professional and also for those who have bigger hands. I grabbed this as a beginner because I had the money and it has been amazing learning how to use the features and just take photos in general with this camera.

My previous camera was an a6100. I've been lucky to have some paid gig enough last year that I decided to upgrade. I researched this camera well in advance before purchase. So I already that it's for me. Section 1: Transition from A6100 to It took a minute for me to adjust to the following. - Extra customization button. Helps a lot! - Screen flip. - Adjust to having more flexibility with dials. - Initially, the camera had no battery life so it took some time for it to charge at first. These are only observations, no complaints. Section 2: After about a week or so. - I like the menu tabs on the right-hand side vertically. - Excited to have two memory card slots. Waiting for CF express to come down in price - Stoked about the increase in MPS. I tend to print large so it helps - The form factor is good as my hands can get a portion of the camera. Section 3: What I didn't Use. - Video. Mainly because it is not required of me. However, I do want to use it for family gatherings Wrap up: All in All, the a7iv is right for me. I am still learning how to be more effective with having more options available to me. I've been testing the camera with the kit lens and it's ok. I did take pics with a 20 mm 1.8 G lens as the kit lens will not do it justice. The uploaded images were only modified to upright positions and converted to JPEG with LR. Nothing else. Also, I took a walk for 1hr and 15 minutes. The battery life at 75 percent. I took about 65 images.

So many things to love about this camera! Very versatile its a jack of all trades from videography to photography and more. Haven't had this camera for too long so still learning alot about its functions, one tjing i can say for sure is the AF tracking is a beast !
