Un happy with the purchase
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.After purchasing the Sony Alpha 7 V, within the first 2 days I noticed a small dot inside the EVF. I went to Best Buy, but they advised me to contact Sony support. Sony support asked me to send the camera for inspection. They identified an issue inside the EVF and replaced the EVF assembly and related parts under warranty. The repair process took about 2.5 weeks. While the issue has been resolved and the camera is now working properly, it was disappointing to experience a defect so soon after purchase, along with the downtime during repair.

The image quality and color science are top-tier, yet the experience isn't without its quirks; specifically, the camera can be surprisingly stubborn in Auto Mode, occasionally refusing to trip the shutter until you manually intervene with a tap on the touchscreen to confirm focus. While this "Auto-Mode hesitation" can be a bit of a flow-killer during fast-paced shooting, the A7V remains an unbeatable all-rounder that rewards you with stunning results—provided you don't mind giving the screen a little poke every now and then to keep the momentum going.
