Oh my gosh! Okay, so I was hesitant to buy this when offered to me at check out only because I thought "was this something my boyfriend would use?" But once they included a discount I was sold! Thank goodness I did. This membership keeps my boyfriend entertained ALL DAY! We only bought one game which he completed within one week and we weren't about to buy another. This has numerous of games online and there isn't a need to go out and purchase more games. Must try! I know they sell it in different increments but my recommendation to you is to buy the longest membership available.

Playstation plus is an excellent value. Sony releases a number of free games per month. The game are for PS3, PSP, & PS4. They will release couple AAA titles per month. Games like Boarderlands, Uncharted 3, Grid 2, Bioshock infinite to name a few. Compared to Xbox Gold, this presents a much greater value. Since I don't really game online, this is light years better for me. Sony also give you an abundant amount of discounts for digital purchases. If you want to try it just buy the 3 month subscription for 17 bucks and try it. I did that and I just bought the year subscription.

Bought this after purchasing Bloodborne for my PS4, so that I could experience the online components of the game. Entering the code was simple, and I have so say the value you get for subscription far exceeds the cost of the membership. In my first month alone, the value of the free games, cloud storage, and discounts more than amounted to the amount I paid of the subscription card. So. if you're on the fence about buying the 12 month subscription card don't be. It's well worth the small investment, and you'll find it pays for itself VERY quickly.

its well worth the money and actually pays for itself, as it has for me the day i got it. I got two full games (metal gear solid, and bone-a-fide shotgun (or something close to that) which together, would cost as much, if not more than the membership. Also gives you online cloud storage(invaluable if you need more storage soace for games not played much and you dont have enough storage for a new downloadable game). Again, you get full games (2 a month i believe and its whatever playstation onlines special is for that month). Highly recommended.

I had resisted paying anything for PSN access, but with the PS4 on the horizon and the accompanying need to be a PS+ subscriber to play online, I thought I'd give it a try. The free and discounted games more than cover the price of this membership. The cloud backup of my PS3 is just gravy on top and now I don't have to have a separate hard drive to backup my machine. Finally, the background/off hour updates mean that every game is ready to play when you are rather than waiting for an update because you haven't played the game in some period of time. Well worth it.

With the nature of the product, I'm not quite sure what I am reviewing. I can say I have been waiting on one year subscriptions to go on sale for over a year now and made the purchase as soon as I saw the sale. My only regret is not buying 5 years worth of these to save money in the long run. PlayStation network is great and there are many reasons to invest in PlayStation plus. The free games they offer every month make up for the yearly fee alone. I hope to see more discounts on this 1 year membership.

Got this on a special which made it an even better deal at the time. Unfortunately ps4 PlayStation plus is needed to play online. Ps4 has gone the same root as Xbox making users pay for online use. This is good and bad. On the one hand this should provide better service less down time. I've noticed there is more maintenance now and more online content. The downside is they try to sell you more. Also ps4 and Xbox are now allot more invasive on your privacy this was a huge turn off for me. This can be remedied in an update hopefully they do.

If you want to play online with your PS4 you need to have this. That said, you get free games every month too. Mostly indie games, but they have some good AAA titles from time to time. Also, there are free games for PS3 and PS Vita as well as PS4 every month so if you have a subscription you get can download games for any of these systems. You can also "purchase" free games for a system you do not own and download them if you get one later on. Keep in mind that you need a subscription in order to play them.

I actually bought this the day after E3 when it was announced that PS Plus would be required for online gaming. I was already a fan and wanted to try this out for awhile after hearing about it from so many gaming websites. For $50 a year, it is very much worth it when you see all the discounts and the instant game collection. I actually got this for $34.99 which practically made this a steal because of a $10 promo and a $5 reward zone coupon. It's a great service and I think anybody that has a PS3 and will soon have a PS4 will greatly benefit from Plus.

I used to own a Play Station 3 before I got the Play station 4. When I had the play station 3 I wouldn't have to pay a dime to play online, besides the internet bill of course. When I found out that we had to get Play station plus in order to play online I thought we were going to be a lot just like Xbox users. Then I came to realize it is only $50 for an entire year. Made me happy and glad I bought this product because when I have down time I can play with my friends online and have a blast.

I purchased this to get my Ps4 online account to use for established. Its very easy to use too. I purchased it online at the best buy store then simply picked it up for 12 months of ps4 online game play plus I got a lot of dlc and free games. Great job Sony loved the ps4 so glad I didn't get an out dated xbone1.

Playstation has one of the best feature and content rich eco-systems when it comes to online services. It you own any of their various systems you get the best bang for your buck. I get "free games" for the Playstation 4, 3 and Vita (including my PS Vita TV). This is worth it alone. Besides online multiplayer you get additional discounts on digital content and games. The service has gotten better and more secure recently and has not been plagued with earlier problems.

My PS Plus ran out a couple days before I purchased this card since I had some credit left on my account, and received it just a few days later. Yes, this is a physical card, and not a digital code, so make sure to order about 5 days before it's actually needed to try and avoid a lapse of service. In terms of the card, it does exactly what it was supposed to do, and gave me an extra 12 months of PlayStation Plus on my account. Not much else to be said than that!

If you own a Playstation 3 or PS Vita, a Playstation Plus membership is a must-have. You start out with 18 free games plus automatic discounts on a large selection of items on the Playstation Network. This will continue on to the Playstation 4 (in fact, it will be required) so you won't have to worry about if you move on to the next generation. Some of the free games are major titles like Battlefield 3, Saints Row: The Third, or Uncharted 3 for PS3 and Gods Eater for the Vita. If you own a PS3 or PS Vita, it only makes sense to get this.

Yes you need this for online multi-player on ps4. Does not matter. Buy this. It pays for its self over and over. If you have a ps3 this is even more valuable if you got into a ps3 late. As of right now you get 2 ps4 games 2 ps3 games and 2 vita game some of which are cross console compatible (ie. 4 games that play on ps4 and ps3)... Every month. And access to sales and discounts game trials and more. Last year the value in games and discounts was well over 1000$. It is the best deal in gaming going on.

I bought this when it was on sale when it was ten dollars off so it was even a better deal. even still $49.99 is great for a year of playstation plus network access. the monthly free games will pay for itself in time and the membership carries over now to all playstation systems so one payment is all you need all year. only real gripe if you can call it that is that the free ps+ games only stay in your account if your memebership stays active but even if you let it expire you can redownload them if you subscribe again

I love the PS Plus service. It gives you 2 to 3 solid games each month for the PS3 as well as some free DLC, Themes, and discounts on other things. When Santa surprised us with a new PS4, I was able to link both machines to the one account. I now get 2-3 free games for both the PS3 and PS4 per month. For the PS4, PS Plus is actually required in order to play multiplayer games, which is different than the PS3. Overall, this is a great value that supplies me with plenty of free games as well as other fun stuff.

You obviously have to have PlayStation Plus if you want to play most games online but that is far from the only benefit. You'll have your membership paid for in a month or two just because of all the free stuff you get each month with your membership and that's not including the discounts. This is a must have and even if it wasn't it would still be worth it. Who doesn't love free or discounted games along with tons of other stuff to choose from? Thanks for reading!

This subscription pays for itself. As soon as you activate it you will get access to tons of free games on both your playstation and vita/psp. New games are added monthly, so it keeps the value fresh. Many of the games are hit titles that sell for decent face value. You also get access to cloud storage saves which backs up all of your game saves to the Internet. This also allows you to sign into another ps3 and access your game saves. If you buy this card you will not be sorry. Once you have PS Plus, you'll never want it to end.
