I bought this movie since it promised some mysterious out come and also because it had a 3D feature disc which I wanted to add to my newly acquired 3D collection. As for the movie itself, it is not worth of being released on ANY format since it has totally nothing to tell and it keeps you wandering when they finally start showing you what this is really all about ? They try to keep some sort of "suspense" going on by mostly showing almost everything in TOTAL DARKNESS and several times showing just a COMPLETELY DARK screen with some back ground noises or a dark screen with very faint light streaks on it showing absolutely nothing that could help understand what is going on to keep your interest going. Especially in movies like this, and EVEN when they are done right with just the right amount of proper lighting effects applied to very dark scenes, 3D affects don't do nothing to enhance the viewing experience !! In dark scenes there is nothing that helps you give you the experience of depth. So if a movie is mostly intended to be shot in the dark, very important lighting affects have to be employed by very experienced lighting people ! This movie lacks all of this. Since watching a 3D movie does not allow you to adjust the brightness settings of the TV, they are set by the TV itself, which in my case is the excellent Samsung 4K capable model UN75HU8550FXZA, enjoying poorly produced dark scene movies in 3D is impossible ! This movie STATIC however is such a poorly produced low budget movie that watching it in 2D Blu ray or regular standard def. DVD with adjusting the brightness level and other adjustments won't help the watching experience. In the couple of times that there are some scenes in the movie that are not completely shot in total darkness the 3D-ness is acceptable, but in general don't spend your money on this movie of which the story telling got completely lost and that seems to have been made by students of some second rate movie academy. Oh , btw. another movie that is not helped by the re- release in 3D is Arnold Schwarzenegger;s earlier attempt at movie making : PREDATOR . Also because of mostly being shot under very dim light conditions, but it is at least a better produced flick that can be better enjoyed in regular 2D Blu ray where you can adjust your TV's lighting level
