The dark knight rises in 4k was the one out of the trilogy wich looked night and day better than the original bluray. Much cleaner and brighter less "dreary" or grainey than the bluray in 1080p

There is a way to solve the problem of there currently being no plans for a "The Dark Knight Rises"--Blu-ray + DVD Combo With Limited Edition Bat-Cowl Display Case that would also include "The Dark Knight Reborn". "Reborn" is a documentary on the making of "The Dark Knight Trilogy". It seems that this documentary will only be available with "TDKRises"--Limited Edition Steelbook Best Buy Exclusive. Obviously, most all of us true fans would much prefer to own the Bat-Cowl plus "Reborn", and not have pay for both the Steelbook and the Bat-Cowl just to have the coolest packaging along with the documentary. Also, I am sure that we all want to know what contents will be included in "The Dark Knight Trilogy"--Ultimate Collector's Edition Set, coming in the fall of 2013, before we decide to buy "TDKR" in December. Since these products are manufactured by Warner Bros., please go to their website, bottom of page, "Help - Tell Us What You Think", take a survey and send them the following letter in the alloted text boxes. You may also go to the WBShop site, to the bottom of the page, find "Customer Service - Contact Us", and paste the same text into a message and send it to them. Feel free to write your own message, if you can. You may also print the following message and mail it to Warner Home Video, 4000 Warner Blvd., Burbank CA 91522. If enough of us participate, we may get the results that we deserve! Dear Warner Bros. Home Video, According to the BestBuy website, "The Dark Knight Rises"--Blu-ray + DVD Combo with Limited Edition Bat-Cowl Display Case will NOT include "The Dark Knight Reborn", which is a documentary on the making of "The Dark Knight Trilogy". So Far, "Reborn" will only be available with "The Dark Knight Rises"--Best Buy Exclusive Limited Edition Steelbook. We the fans of the Trilogy and the loyal followers of you century's great roster of movies respectfully request that the Bat-Cowl Limited Edition be made to include the coveted "Dark Knight Reborn" Blu-ray Disc. While Steelbook packaging is cool, we many serious collectors will definitely much prefer to have the Bat-Cowl displayed on our shelves. But we do not wish to have to double-dip and buy both the Steelbook and Bat-Cowl, just to have the most prestigious packaging plus the documentary. If it is too late in the manufacturing process to have the "Reborn" BDs inserted into the Bat-Cowl boxes, then they may attached to outside of the box within a simple cardboard sleeve or else distributed in limited quantities to the first-coming customers. I am confident that Warner Bros. Home Video can find of a way to resolve this problem. Furthermore, please post the product details and box contents list for "The Dark Knight Trilogy"--Ultimate Collector's Edition Gift Set, which is purported to be released in early 2013, as soon as possible, hopefully before December 4th, which is when "Dark Knight Rises" will be released on Blu-ray and DVD. Doing so will enable us Batfans to decide on whether to acquire "TDKR" in December, or to wait for the Trilogy Ultimate Set. If there are some other powers that be that we should instead be contacting in regards to these issues, please forward this message to them or else let us know their names, phone numb#rs and/or e-mail addresses. Thank You So Much for hearing us! Sincerely, (type your name here)

Not being a huge fan of superhero movies, I didn't have much expectations for Batman Begins. However viewing the 2005 Christopher Nolan production, I was pleasantly shocked. Then after my huge expectations for, "The Dark Knight", Christopher Nolan blew my expectations to the dust. Will the same happen with the 3rd and last film, "The Dark Knight Rises"? Quite simply, Yes! My big expectations were once again, blown away. What a production! This is a true cinematic experience, to behold. The movie exceeded my expectations in terms of action, and entertainment. The editing, sound, score, visuals, direction and action are all top notch. The film contains a fine cast of talented actors. Christian Bale, of course still makes is a great Batman. Michael Cain is fantastic, as he always is. He gives such a powerful performance, he really ought to be considered for an Oscar nomination. Tom Hardy as Bane is utterly terrifying, at times, and completely ominous. Anne Hathaway as Catwoman/Selina Kyle is a scene stealer. She is completely engrossing. Everyone is so great, the dynamic scenes between the actors are so well done, so well written, and so well directed. The Dark Knight Rises is is emotionally riveting and amazing to view.

4k Ultra is the Best way to see this film

This was an indulgent but satisfying ending to Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight Trilogy. When I originally saw this film, it was in an IMAX theater. I bought it to complete my collection, and thought that a 4k Ultra copy would be the closest I could come to bringing an IMAX experience into my home. I was not disappointed. Color, sound, and clarity was about as good and immersive as I remembered from my original viewing at the cinema. As for the story, I enjoyed it, but I couldn't help for missing Heather Ledger's Joker, and wishing for a more focused plot, and shorter runtime.

Although The Dark Knight set a new precedent in comic-book film adaptations, The Dark Knight Rises thankfully lived up to expectations and thoughtfully expanded on the grounded-in-reality universe set forth by Batman Begins. Gotham turns into a war zone of class conflict on Ultra HD with a marvelous, reference-quality 4K HDR presentation that goes mano-a-mano against its HD SDR counterpart and easily wins. The war erupts with the same DTS-HD MA soundtrack enjoyed on the Blu-ray, and it remains an awesomely thrilling, bombastic aural experience with several demo-worthy moments. With the same set of supplements ported over, the overall package is highly recommended for anyone wanting one of the best UHDs currently available.

Great movie, and I love how Christopher Nolan doesn't depend on CGI so much like other directors these days. Geez, it's like DC Comics are purposely doing the EXACT opposite nowadays compared to this guy's trilogy masterpiece. I mean, I can't even say that Sam Raimi's Spider-Man movies did all three awesomely. Even he had fallen in the third installment, most likely because of Sony rushing him, but still. Anyways, my review is becoming into a rambling rant, the whole point is that this is a great addition to the Batman Movie titles.

The final film of Christopher Nolan's Batman trilogy The Dark Knight Rises comes to 4K with an image sourced from a new 4K scan that has been color-corrected and HDR graded under the director's supervision. Details, saturation and shadow definition all get a boost and the superior resolution of the IMAX photography benefits most from the 4K presentation. The repurposed lossless DTS-HD Master Audio 5.1 soundtrack, while not Dolby Atmos, is quite superb. Comes with blu-ray disc and digital code. A great conclusion to the best Batman story ever filmed.

christopher nolan! again, the man kills it with his in depth character studies and attention to detail and love for his craft! while these originally dropped in HDX all those years ago, these 4k remasters put a whole new eye popping sensational twist on these epic stories! do not pass up the chance to pick these up! while they do not include digital copies, theyre worth the rewatch over and over in 4k clarity!

Anything by Christopher Nolan is guaranteed to be good and this fits the bill. The first in the Batman trilogy this film truly sets the tone for Bruce Wayne, his origin, and why he's not like other "superheroes". It's dark and gritty but still gives you someone to root for and the facts the effects aren't CGI and misplaced makes it all the better and more enjoyable. A true must-watch!

Batman the Dark Knight Rises had very high fan expectations, and in large part delivered. The villain, Baine is the menacing character the series needed to finish with, convinced in every way that he is doing the right thing. This 4K release looks great in native 4K and sounds great as well. The only gripe I have is that it doesn't include any type of digital copy whatsoever. So the 4K and bluray discs are all that you are getting here. But what you are getting is incredible.

I have been a huge Batman fan since I was a kid. From the comics, to the movies, to the cartoons and the games, but I absolutely loved this series the most. This series really hit the darker side of Batman and gave it a little more of a realistic touch. Batman The Dark Knight Rises, in my opinion, made Bane one of the scariest, most intense villains in any super hero movie I've seen in 2012. I think this movie did a great job ending this specific series, and even still it left me wanting more, but I was very satisfied with the ending. It was intense, fun, and even amusing at times. All around I think its a great movie, a great series and for me it was a definite buy! Hope everyone else can enjoy this movie/series as much as I did.

When I first saw this movie I didn't like it too much. Over time and having watched it a number of times, I began to love this film. This film in particular had introduced a lot of different Batman characters which I enjoyed. It just is sad there wasn't more films to develop them further in regards to Bane, Catwoman, & Robin.
