The Lawnmower Man doesn't really have much of a plot or a compelling storyline but holds up as a remarkable achievement in its rendering of computer animation and pre-CGI effects. With its inclusion of both the Theatrical Cut and the Director's Cut, Shout! Factory compiles what should be considered the "Ultimate Edition" of the film. The label delivers stellar video and sound presentations. The movie has not looked or sounded better than it does here. Shout! has recycled the most important bonus features from the previous LD/DVD and added a terrific new making-of doc. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

A scientist performs experiments involving intelligence enhancing drugs and virtual reality on a simple-minded gardener. He puts the gardener on an extensive schedule of learning, and quickly he becomes brilliant. But at this point the gardener has a few ideas of his own on how the research should continue, and the scientist begins losing control of his experiments...

Watching this movie on Blu-ray is like looking at it for the first time, there are scenes that wasn't in the original standard dvd, the DTS HD Master audio is fantastic it has a 5.1 and 2.0 DTS audio track plus bonus material, i highly recommend you get it, long live physical media i nevered streamed a movie in my life.

Awesome film. Despite the virtual reality and efx being a bit dated, this film was great. The overall story was fun and also does a great job of making you feel sympathetic for the main character. This set also includes the directors cut.

The Lawnmower Man is a great film that finally has a collectors edition. This has both the director's and theatrical cut on it, however I bought for the around an hour long documentary about the making of this film. Scream Factory has been hitting homeruns with recent releases.

Neat movie when it came out, but didn't take long for the special effects to become completely outdated. Still, I am sucker for anything Stephen KIng related and enjoyed all the bonuses included on this one.

Decent Stephen King adaptation computer animation is quite a bit outdated but it's worth a watch.

So glad this movie has finally made its way to HD, especially with the Director's Cut included. Image quality is pretty good as well, and commentaries & trailers are included as well.

Scream the company that re released these horror classic is amazing this is a huge nostalgia factor with some amazing extras i highly recommend you finding these and grabbing them when they go on sale

The lawnmower man is one of the best sci-fi films ever. This is a great film with many great stars and a film that will keep you on your toes. And a great Halloween movie.

Owing much to Frankenstein, Lawnmower man was one of the first films to incorporate modern CG. Yet another excellent Scream Factory release.

A contemporary classic. This movie is a must see for any Stephen King fan. Although the technology on special effects is pretty bad. This movie would have been great if it was made now because the SFX we have at this point of time would have improve this movie tremendously. But anybody who likes classics should check out this movie. By the way it comes with the theatrical version and the directors cut which is much longer and makes more sense.

Remembered movie from high school, effects look archaic today but I still enjoyed. Allot of effort went into the blu-ray if your a fan.

A very good presentation on Blu-ray of a Stephen King adaptation. Both versions are here; the theatrical and the extended. Picture and sound are clear.

Enjoyed the movie a lot, has some great features on there and the best part is the director's cut of the film. Loved it.

This is an excellent blu, and if you're a fan it's a must own! Two versions of the film, including the much better director's cut. Highly recommended!

Scream Factory has done it again, bringing both cuts of The Lawnmower Man to blu ray, 2 discs, alot of extras.

This 90s sci-fi horror moive is awesome. Pierce Brosnan is great. Jeff Fahey really steals the show as Jobs. It's a funny moive to watch.

A great slice of 90s cinema that revolved around the horrors of technology, with great special features.
