This story, a sad one at that, is a parent’s worst nightmare – and sadly it is well-done and much to realistic. It is also a saga of a dying isolated community in rural Washington State whose only source of income is its’ mine and it was closed several years ago which thrust the town into despair. Abject poverty is evident everywhere. This film is well-casted and features extra-ordinary acting and it is filled with non-stop surprises/thrills. Its’ poorly thought-out ending left the audience “Hanging” – thus my lack of overall enthusiasm.

Without getting into spoilers, this is a fantastically paced movie that plays with your expectations and keeps you guessing for a long time. It is Thrilling and suspenseful, anchored by the best performance of Jessica Biel's career.

This is a must see and a keeper movie. Keeps one in suspense and on the edge of your chair until the very end. A movie with unexpected twists and turns. Most enjoyable movie all the way though.

This movie has a pretty decent storyline with a good group of actors. I would say that if you’re into horror movies than I would guess that you might enjoy this movie.

My wife and I were able to see this movie in our local movie theater and were happy we were able to purchase it at a good price from BestBuy and we are looking forward to watching it as often as we want.

How does stink like this get made its like you have all the actors and tools to make something good and then you don't and no one steps in and says anything like hey if you just did this or changed this you might not have a dvd bargain bin stink fest

this movie is very good with a great twist at the end

One of the worst movies I've ever watched. An employee in the store told me the ending was worth watching because you didn't suspect it. Not quite sure what was unpredictable about it. It is far too long and drawn out - I think we talked through a good portion of it and we still weren't lost as to what was going on. Ending was lame. Acting awful. And the "special effects" were cheap at best.

A great acting job by Jessica Biel, and by Jodelle Farland. coupled with a dark enigmatic storyline ending in a compelling moral dilemma, makes this movie an extraordinary viewing experience.

Woman and her husband invent 'The Tall Man' to save abused kids, kidnapping them from abusive households. A few exciting scenes, featuring vicious dog attacks - actually kind of hard to watch, even for strong stomachs!!!!! VERY VERY dragged out, dull as can be, ultimately STUPID. At 100 minutes until the credits start, this feels like 3 hours long. You may find yourself ff>> through MOST of this yawner.....
