Geek Squad Fail
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.We paid for geek squad to come out mount our tv and install. Geek Squad came out mounted tv to a pre-existing mount, therefore I can't give my feed iback on mounting other than they did balance and adjust mount to my prefrence. After tv was mounted the technician proceed to connect cable, surround sound and DVD box. We purchased Q9 Samsung, which is equipped with a universal remote. Technician first tells us our Samsung wireless sound bar won't connect wirelessly anymore to our Samsung tv. Than proceeded to say he can't connect our cable (with spectrum) to the universal remote. On top of it he didn't bother to connect the DVD box. When all said and done I end up with 3 remotes, my tv remote to power on, my sound bar to control volume and my cable remote to change the channels. I contacted the technician the next day to express my concern. He called me a week later and when I tried to call him back he never answered. After doing my own homework, and no thanks to geek squad I figured out how to connect all my components to the tv and universal remote. Now I only use the small silver remote for the Q9 to control EVERYTHING! There is also a whole story on our tv being replaced from a Q7 to a Q9 I can't even get into and this involves geek squad install!
