We were not sure what to expect with our first projector but we set up the 120" screen and projector outside and watched Bad Boys For Life. The visuals were wonderful. We wanted to check out how the projector would handle an action movie and we were so happy. We hooked up the Roku and streamed the movie from there. We did connect our Bluetooth Bose speaker to the projector for a little audio help. We didn't try the projector without the Bose hooked up so I can't say what it would have sounded like without the audio. I did a lot of shopping and am so glad that we landed on this projector!!

Price/quality, I don't think there is a way to find a better product for that price, really happy with the resolution and image, brightness is good enough to use it in a semi-illuminated room.

I was trying to replace my 720p short throw gaming projector with a reasonably priced machine which could play blu-Ray. After much research I chose this because of the variety of number of video inputs. This is one of the few to handle all old technology (as well as HDMI) for those who still have laser disc players and VCRs while having reasonable short thrown distance of about 6 feet on coffee table to nearly fill 8 foot screen. Picture is crisp and bright. I like that if it is not playing a video it turns itself off.

Fantastic purchase. Good resolution & colors. The sound quality is also really decent for a single speaker. Definitely good enough for travel. It gets loud enough for a room. For the price point, you can't beat it.

Bought this projector for my media room. Husband like it. The speaker on this thing is loud by itself. The picture quality is good.

I love to watch movies and this projector is perfect for it. I use a 120" screen and the the picture is bright and sharp. I also like to watch 3D movies so I bought a blu ray player and some active 3D glasses. The glasses synced up with this projector easily and the picture was awesome. I am very happy with this purchase.

It wasn't the least expensive nor was it the most expensive. We have borrowed a projector from a friend which worked fine, but we found the View Sonic was sharper and clearer at about the same price. Yes we would recommend it!

Previously tried the Optima GT1080 and couldn't get the picture right. The close mounting was great, but there wasn't a way to fine-tune the picture (i.e. stretch corners). The ViewSonic has an amazing picture, amazing features and levels of adjustment, and is very bright.

Near LED - Replacement - Much Better than Optoma

Purchased this to replace an Optoma GT1080. Originally purchased the Optoma for the short-throw capability. While it was great to place the projector so close, there was absolutely NO way that I could get a 'squared' picture, and the projector did not have enough adjustment capabilities to allow me to do so. I purchased this projector based on recommendations on other websites, since BB did not have much in terms of customer reviews. This projector is fantastic! Versus the Optoma, the highlights are: 1.) Brightness - noticeably brighter, seriously able to view in lighted rooms, and with the light dimmed it is EXTREMELY bright. 2.) Color - the Optoma never made colors that looked LED/LCD quality. This does, the colors really pop. 3.) Level of adjustment - this has MECHANICAL zoom and focus. I.E. if I didn't put it the perfect distance away (as I had to do w/ the Optoma) I can just zoom in/out and readjust. 4.) Signal - This is strange - the Optoma was being fed by a 50 ft HDMI, and on Xbox One only, I would get strange green dots and odd patterns that appeared randomly. I had PS4, XB One, 360, PS3, Wii U, and an HDMI Converter feeding Dreamcast, N64, etc. in through a switch, and only on the Xbox One (regardless of cord combination) I would get this. Also, the PS4 signal would sometimes drop. Since switching to the ViewSonic, I've had zero issues. Bottom-line, for those wanting a bigger screen that's capable of actually convincingly imitating the picture-production of LED/LCD, buy this. Paired mine w/ an Elite Screen's motorized 84" and it's amazing (although that screen has serious curling-in issues).
