Great computer with good speed and many options. Easy to use.

Got this on sale after Playstation announced they added PD4 external storage capability. Saved me from having to replace the internal drive. For now, the 4TB is right size for the XL game files. Drive still going strong.

This is an upgrade from my 1tb WD hard drive. It is used to store all of my photos and any other thing I don't want to lose if the computer dies. It was simple to integrate; just Plug and Play. Essential piece of computer equipment.

Just purchased this external hard drive after my LaCie one gave out only after a few months of using it. This one seems to have better build and is much quieter so far. It’s managed my 4K videos pretty smoothly so far.

awsome addition to my network and tons of space for files. i hooked mine up to my netgear router with ease. i am able to view all my media on any device hooked to my network.

Easy to connect and use. Plenty of space to store all those pictures and videos scattered on on phones, flash drives and cloud storage. Fast enough to stream HD through the house. Easy use and decent performance.

Bought this for a storage expansion for my PS4. Great price (got it on sale), and should give me plenty of storage for my library of games I haven’t started playing yet.

I purchased this external back up hard drive because I'd been told it was simple to connect (very true) and easy to use -- well yes and no. I"m not the most computer savvy person out there. The jargon really gets to me. IF you don't know the terms, you can't look up much! FAQ's don't help much either. I had two problems with the USE of the device. 1) initially when left plugged into the CPU, the boot would hang on the drive looking for boot files. Then it dawned on me that if I pulled the plug it would complete the boot and I could use the computer. A bit of a pain but not a device killer. Western Digital came to the rescue and sent me special one-step-at-a-time directions to fix the problem, and it worked (Thanks Amanda). Thought I was in business! Nope! Not yet! 2) Once the drive was reformatted to work with Win-10, the automated back up would begin and fail for "unable to find target". OK time to go back to Amanda! She responded with additional instructions to change the back up instructions in the software, and NOW it works perfectly with no attention from me which is EXACTLY what I was looking for. So if you don't know computerese, get the MY BOOK and ask Amanda for help at Western Digital. She will probably kill me for that! :-)

I have several of these and they are great for backing up or archiving files. It is USB 3.0 and very quick to move files back and forth. Never had any issues.

Works as advertised, I use it as a backup for my iMac.

Installed simply and easily. Windows did all the work.

I have always used WD drives and that is why I looked for a WD. I was looking for a large one to use on a private server I was working on and it works perfect for what I needed. Easy install and setup and just forget it.
