I had to buy this hard-disk as my laptop keeps crashing and there was a need to reinstall OS. I had valuable pictures taken for years. Finally decided to save my documents in hard-disk. This one was very compact and I couldn't find any better price. Would be even better if they added some cloud storage when purchasing this hard disk. I bought this with a free $25 Shutterfly card so I find its a good deal for me.

This product is easy to use and is small, portable and has more than enough capacity for most users.

The Western Digital - My Passport 1tb External Usb 3.0 Portable Hard Drive - Black is a good buy. I bought at a good price to backup several devices I support at various locations. I have other USB storage devices but this one has a good amount of storage space a does the job reliably.

The unit was very easy to set up with the USB connection to the computer. It is easy to disconnect and keep in a safe place when traveling away from home. Recently lost a computer by theft from our car. Nice to have a back up with all the data files that were on the computer.

My Passport 1TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive is a high quality Hard Disk Drive. It is small and compact, reasonable price and highly reliable. It compares equally with similar Seagate drives. Does not come with carry case, which must be purchased separately.

I use this to back up pictures and to store games/play games from. I have had it about a month and it has worked great. It looks just like the picture and was easy to use. Would recommend this product and will most likely buy from this brand again

The My Passport 1TB External USB 3.0 Portable Hard Drive is very compact, has a durable enclosure, is easy to use, and has proven to be completely reliable. The 1-terabyte capacity will safely store multiple backups and other important data, pictures, etc.

I use this for additional storage on my Xbox One, I simply pluged it in, formatted, and I doubled my storage in a minute. It doesn't need an external power supply like my other external drive, and makes zero noise. This is very compact and hides away nicely.

This works quickly and has helped with storage problems on my computer. My laptop was pretty full of pictures and what not, so I decided to get this. It is nice to be able to have them with me where ever I go and it frees up some space on my computer!

I use this external hard drive to backup my pictures, it's connected to a computer that is always on and I can access the pictures from any other device in the house. Drive is very small (physical size) and was bought at a great price.

This 4TB (yes it is 4TB) drive is small considering it's storage capacity. Comes with back-up software and is very efficient at backing up all your data. Comprehensive User's Manual is available on the internet and covers all aspects of the drive. Good value.

When my old 14 year old desk top computer was essentially full of data, I needed to back up the files, documents, and photos on to an external disk drive. I got the 1 T passport external disk drive. It was very good if you knew what to do. I thought that I could use my wife's laptop with Vista OS. Big mistake! All that was displayed was I needed to get a program to display DATA. My two daughters had Windows 7 and Windows 10 on their laptops. I decided to use Windows 10 and the files opened up beautifully. I couldn't find any e mails that I thought the Geek Squad had transferred to the external drive. I had to return back and found out that there was some glitches that needed to be over come such as converting my free e mail program to a paid program to be able to down load the files to the hard drive then transferred to the external drive.

I'm so pleased with the ease of use and compactness of this hard drive. The last hard drive I bought which was a number of years ago was definitely not portable and slow. This one also costs less than the previous one.

Got this for my son when I saw that the 4.5 update allowed external hard drives for extended storage on PS4. Setup was done in seconds and is probably a necessity if you have a PS4.

Being a photographer and the convince of also taking a million photos with phones, my computer is running out of room. So, I purchased the My Passport to put all my photos on and clear some room on my computer. I have a mac so I first had to format the hard drive and then set it up to work for my mac before using it. I would've given it 5 stars if it was ready to use out of the box, which it was not.

Needed a compact way to back up my computer so that it could go in for a Geek Squad service. Perfect size and has plenty of storage. can take it with me on business trips and move items off hard drive to store here. Love it.

I was running out of space on my Xbox One, and at the local store the guy suggested this one as what he personally used. Was super easy to transfer all game data and saved files from the console to the hard drive. Definitely worth it.

My older external drive was failing so I bought this quickly to transfer the files from my failing hard dive. The set up easy, the data transfer was fast, and the hard drive is reliable. I would purchase this again.

My wife has a iMac which she had never backed up. She needed something small that had a lot of storage. We found this WD passport at 1 TB and that was enough to do the job. She now uses it as her Time Machine backup.

I wanted to get a new one that would have enough room for all my photos and I turned to WD because I've had their products before and never had any problems. It's compact, easy to use and the yellow color (always my favorite!) made it extra special!
