This is the third one that I have purchased because I have a lot of photos to store and to send to clients. These drives are inexpensive and reliable. A great combination.

This portable hard drive is very easy to use with my Macbook. You can easily schedule backups using Time Machine on it. A good, quiet, lightweight and durable drive.

I have bought and given several of these external HD as a present for friends that have a Mac but don't know a thing about backing up and Time Machine. I have repaired and restored several Mac's in the past and the loss of "all my pictures and so on" was quite a bit of drama! I am surprised how few people actually back up there phones and computers nowadays, they seem to think that everything is stores in some "Apple Cloud" Don't count on it and if you like to backup, this is the right tool !

Really plug and play--no formatting required. Drive was working in less than two minutes. Easy pick up at the store AND the best price I could find on the internet

This is a lightweight, efficient device. I've used it to backup my Macbook Pro, and it does it relatively quickly. However, if you encrypt your backups, expect the encryption process after a backup to take a ridiculously long amount of time. After a couple of backups (backup takes perhaps 5-10 minutes, encryption takes at least an hour more), I decided to decrypt. I'm on hour #2 of that process.

This product is a must for Apple user who choose not to store their data in the cloud. Very easy to use, my 11 year old son set up his backup drive by himself

I have a 128GB Macbook pro. So, i needed some extra space to keep my files. This hard drive does it well. Its very fast and the time machine compatibility is awesome.

Great hard drive so far. Very fast and reliable. I have filled up 1/2 of it up with photos so far.

Use as backup and extended storage for a MBP with a 256GB SSD. Syncs with Time Machine for automatic backups when the MBP is plugged into external power. Works reasonably fast when used to edit videos reading and storing to the external drive via USB 3.0.
