Read all the other reviews and was a bit skeptic on this not getting clothes clean or tangling them up. Have to say we haven't had any such issues. The first load we did I watched pretty much the whole cycle thru the lid as I was confused on what it was doing for the first 20 minutes or so. Coming from an old school washing machine I was waiting for the tub to fill up, which it did not do initially. Just threw in a little water from time to time, then spun a bit. Didn't see how this plus no agitator would get clothes clean. But later in the cycle the tub actually filled up enough to pretty much cover the clothes, then it actually started "agitating" behaving like a regular washing machine. Clothes came out clean. And much more water was spun out of them than usual, meaning less drying time- although this washer seems to take a bit longer than my old one so the shorter drying time is kind of a wash (haha I made a funny). And as far as tangling of clothes, still haven't seen that after almost 2 months. Being a man with no patience, I have always just taken the basket and dumped it into the washing machine. I still do with this one (they tell you to make sure you can see the center of the agitator, but I rarely do that) and don't see any tangling, and everything gets wet and clean. Also like the ability to set the "done" chime volume. Machine is located in the other end of the house in a basement and I can still hear it. And if I'm starting a load late at night, I can just turn it off so nobody is woken up. Capacity is great too.

I really want to love this washer but I don't and I will probably return it this week and get a front loader. My previous washer was a top load HE so I'm familiar with how they work. My biggest complaint is that the washer leaves dirt patches on my clothes because it doesn't get them wet enough. My next complaint is that there are no controls for load size so I'm not exactly sure how the amount of water used is determined. All this being said I love the matching dryer and really wish the washer worked equally as well.

What a difference this washer is compared to my old washer! I typically buy the commercial grade washers as I have found them to be more durable and lasts longer as well as a bigger load capacity. After using this washer a few time I have noticed it cleans my 4 year old daughters clothes much better, our clothes smell even cleaner, I love the steam and sanitize features on this washer. *I am used to having the agitator and had doubts without one that a washer could wash as well, it has proven me very wrong. Great purchase and a very happy consumer. * Oh AND does not get off balance and vibrate my entire house :)

I was so excited to finally get a new washer so I could get one big enough to wash the comforters too. This washer is everything I wanted and more! Okay I realize you probably have to be a mom to understand this but the joy of being able to wash huge comforters and hand wash items all in the same machine is so wonderful! We have the glass top washer and it just adds a touch of class, which we like. Plus it was on sale but still would have bought it. It also fits so much in there it amazes me still! Now I don't have to wash everyday...yay!

This is our first high efficiency washer and we love it!! After washing our first load of whites we knew this machine was the bomb!! It got even my dirty gardening socks so clean I couldn't tell them apart from my everyday socks. It takes a little longer to wash but the results are worth it. We could also wash our king size comforter with it saving us a trip to the dying out dry cleaners (sorry dry cleaner owners).

So we are usually bargain shoppers, but got tired of going cheap and small, and having it die out before 5 years is up. They were running a great special on the washer (with a Visa credit card for additional money) so it was too good to pass up. First off, the capacity is huge. We have a lot of clothes to wash, and it's great to have so much space with no agitator getting in the way of the load. Secondly, it has a lot of features, but they are all easy to comprehend and are self-explanatory. We've used most of them within the first weeks of having it. It can make some noise, but not enough to bother, and if you have doors on your laundry room, you won't notice. The place where you put the detergent hasn't been needed to be cleaned yet, so can't comment on that, but it's stayed relatively clean, and we get a lot of use out of it. I got lucky and got a great sale and a promotion for a Visa card back, but even without those things, I'd still recommend it as it's been very reliable and done a great job with our countless loads of laundry.

I'm a new homeowner so I needed a washer/dryer and I went toward Maytag/Whirlpool and WOW, I was amazed at all the features these devices have these days! I bought this with the dryer and am really impressed with it so far. This washer is very quiet! I had to adjust the load once for a large amount of clothes, but that was it. I use my washer/dryer once a week because I'm a single adult, so frequent or once-a-week use is great for these products. Everything else about the washer is GREAT! If you want to spend a little more money to save a lot later on, I recommend this washer/dryer set.

I absolutely love this washer. It is the largest washer sold…4.8 capacity and there is no agitator so there is lots of room inside. I can fit anything in it, like blankets & comforters. The top of it is see through, so you can watch the clothes being washed. The washer tosses your clothes, which in my opinion, cleans them way better then a washer with an agitator in it. I also believe it takes less detergent then I use to use with my old washer. It uses HE detergent.

I had to replace my $1000+ Samsung washer(HE) because it was going to cost approximately $500 to repair. After talking with my service tech and conducting other research, I decided to go with a Whirlpool. It was on sale for $649.99 and the delivery plus haul away was free - it was the best purchase I made! It takes half the time now to do laundry and I can tell that there is a big difference on how clean my clothes are and are no longer wadded up in a ball as well.

This is for: Whirlpool - Cabrio Platinum 4.8 Cu. Ft. 13-Cycle High-Efficiency Top-Loading Washer - White The machine is a little taller than my last one but that works out well for me as I am 6 feet tall. The controls are easy to figure out. Loading the detergent, softener and bleach is simple. You just toss the clothes in and it figures out how to wash them after you pick the category. The sheets setting works perfect. The bulky worked for everything including quilts which are not easy. This replaced a Whirlpool machine that was purchased in 2001 the difference is night and day. The new machine is much more quiet. It is running right now two rooms away and there is no sound leaving the laundry room. Very happy with the machine

I'm not happy with the way it washes the cloth, it doesn't rotate the clothes very well so some spots of your clothes may show more wear than other spots of your clothes because it washes the color out more on one area than another... while washing a set of queen sheets it took 66 minutes to complete and the one pillow case that got spun to the outside of the tub stayed there for the whole cycle and never got washed and for a heavy duty cycle it took 72 min... the normal cycle takes 90 min. if you select to use fab. soft. in the washer... I've had a front load washer for 9 years before this and it takes some getting use to not having a washer full of water, although it does wash the clothes (most of the time) and you use a lot less soap and fab. soft. but I would prefer the traditional washers for cleaning instead of HE washers... there is a quick wash that only takes like 30 min. for touch up washes to freshen up something

I don't need all the bells and whistles that some machines offer. Face it do we really use them all? I have had this washer for about a month and only complaint is it is not as quiet as I had hoped. We have an open floor plan and spouse works swing shift and I will have to make sure I don't use it when he is sleeping. Washer has a large capacity and does a good job cleaning and clothes come out dry enough to save time drying with matching dryer. I am surprised at how quickly laundry is done with the pair.

Old washer died and i needed something with a large capacity. So far i am pleased with the performance of the washer, although it looks strange to peep through the glass and not see much water in the tub. My wife likes to set it to bulky items and it fills with a bit more water than usual. After buying this model i saw one a little more than this one with an added deep water cycle. All in all i am pleased with this purchase.

Replaced our old set and I am amazed at the advances made in this technology. The washer can make all of the decisions if you want (load size, temperature, speed, etc.) or you can override any or all of the decisions. You can just throw your clothes in, choose normal or bulky etc. and walk away. I know this sounds strange but it has made laundry fun. When the clothes come out of the washer they are quite a bit dryer than usual, making drying time much shorter. It appears that this set will truly show a savings in both water and electricity.

I reviewed this washer already. But I like to emphasize again how happy I am with my purchase and that I will buy another one in about a month for my son's new home. I would not do this if I were not completely thrilled with this machine. Energy efficient, saving water, which is of great important in the high desert, clean clothes ! Maybe the engineers can come of with a design in the future , where the washer will also fold the clothes and put them away. Until then, like I said, it it a great washer and you can purchase it with confidence.

This is my first HE washer and I was very nervous about my clothes getting clean (it does not seem to use any water). However, my clothes come out very clean and because of its size, the number of loads of clothing I have to wash each week has gone down significantly! Thus my water bill and my electric bills have both gone down. Plus, the washer is fun to watch. . . :-)

Overall this washer unit is outstanding. Large load capacity, quiet spin cycles and energy efficient. The control unit is easy to master. Though this unit does lack some of the newer features used in some washing machines. The real value is in the price. Would recommend to friends and family.

The washer has cut down the number of washes I have to do per week.so far so good. I really like the way it spins the water out of the clothes. It's very efficient. It's a very deep tub. I have to stand on a chair to reach the clothes from the bottom of the washer.

This is my second Cabrio washer that I have owned and i'm amazed at how clean this washer gets your clothes. I was skeptical at first with such a small rotating beater bar but was pleasantly surprised with the results. Yes ladies guy's can do wash too!
