I purchased the single disc version of "50" for myself. See my musings there. This 2 CD version I purchased for my cousin who is a British Rock and especially Who fanatic. Since I was shipping the album as a gift I chose this version. It is a matter of how many songs you get per dollar and how much of a "sampler" you want. Note: every version has just the one brand new track ("Be Lucky"). This package is labeled remastered and in A to B headphone comparisons is slightly crisper than a best of disc from about 10 years ago. If you want a long & up to date Who "Best of" this is what you hope to find in your stocking!

This collection is a good way to get to know the music of The Who if you are unfamiliar. I wouldn't characterize it as their best songs, but a look into the span of their career. If you want to really see them at their best listen (or watch) their live performances - particularly their 1970 Isle of Wight show, their performance of the Tommy Overture is the most powerful 30 minutes of music I've ever seen. Four supremely talented musicians doing great things.

I first saw The WHO in 1969, and have my ticket stubs for twelve more WHO concerts, films and Broadway shows. This is an excellent selection of the Band's work from 1964 onward, with some deep tracks included alongside the well-known "Maximum R&B" standards. "Long Live Rock!" Add this to your collection.

I thought I had just about everything the who did together or separately but I was wrong. I have discovered at least 3 songs I had never heard before. It is also strange to see some of their songs were made famous by others. This double album is a must for any who fans.

Great to finally have all the hits in one place with great mastering, and it even includes the short version of Won't Get Fooled Again. Of course, the short version is horribly edited from the full length version, but it's nice to have it anyway.

Seems like a lot of supreme rock albums coming out lately- Zep's reunion concert, new Floyd studio cd, new Sabbath with Ozzy, etc. This best of compilation by the Who is the best collection I have ever heard by them. I am listening to it right now!

The Who were an incredible band. Their complications have come and gone. I've owned several and none compare to this one. All essential, presented in chronological order. A must have for someone getting into the band.

Of course most fans already have the albums. But if you want a good cross section of Who to listen to in the car or just hangin' out, this one will do the trick nicely.

I've been waiting years for a great, affordable collection of The Who, encompassing their entire career so far. THIS IS IT! Definitely worth the wait... AND the price!

This compilation album from The Who proves that Pete Townsend is clearly one of the top three songwriters in the history of rock. The only negative about the collection is that it leaves out a few of his best songs including "The Punk and the Godfather", "The Real Me" and "Did You Steal my Money?".

The who was a great rock band that made a lot of great songs over the years and a lot of them are on this cd give it a try you won't be disappointed

I have been a Who fan for many years, and I think this is one of the best yet. It has all their greatest songs plus a few I have never heard!

This cd has many of the best songs The Who has recorded. I really enjoy the mono recordings that are included in this set.

This is a really nice compilation. It's got "The Seeker" and "Join Together" and that's why I bought it.

This represents a good collection of the Who's greatest hits from the very early to their late material. I Saw them a couple years ago on the Quadrophinia Tour and they were as good as ever.

Has all the hits worth it. Perfect collection you only need this CD for the who
