I had a Denon avr-s720w previously and it was terrible. This reciever completely changed my entertainment experience! Very easy to use and self-explanatory functions.

I love Yamaha. I have 3 receivers in various portions of my home. This one runs the theater and 2 wireless rear surrounds + the downstairs music cast speakers. Great receiver. Good price, power and features.

This does it all. Had a problem in the past with not enough HDMI ports on tv, NO PROBLEM with this receiver, 6 ports to input anything I have. WiFi and Bluetooth. App to put on my phone with all the remote functions. Streaming radio. This has it all. Put music on USB drive, plug it in and play your music collection. Hi-res music, this does it all. Very happy.

The bluetooth capabilities is what time enjoying most, so many compliments. Building new surround sound system can't wait to add new speakers.

I’ve owned a few receivers from pioneer and Yamaha. This one is my favorite. Easy to setup. Smaller size, to fit into shelf unit. Sound is good. Musiccast works well. It’s a keeper.

This unit is replacing a receiver that was 12 years old. It provides great sound using two over 20 year old Bose speakers. Best Buy Geak Squid did a great job installing the new sound and video system

Oh, let me count the ways that this receiver brings love of music back to me life. It is truly a pleasure to listen to the soft basses and high highs once again. When you buy Yamaha you expect performance. This product delivers beyond your expectations. Loaded with features and incredible power.

First, you have to be savvy enough to want/appreciate passive soundbar (go surroundbar) to be in the market. Then, you have to be smart enough to know your limitations, so you do not overspend on A/V receiver with Soundbar, Powered Sub, surround speakers and more on the horizon. This unit powers my LG Nanocell 9 75" TV, Def Tech Mythos SSA50 (a beast), Martin Logan Dynamo 500, Def Tech 9080 (2) and cablebox displayed on Bell'O PR45 console. Nice!

We were apprehensive buying this Yamaha Avenger at first because our hearts were set for another brand but was sold out. We are glad we purchased this even though the cost was $100 more than Pioneer. I love the 2 Apps Music Cast and AV Controller. Make sure you download these Apps.
