It Works Great! Fast and Easy! A+
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The Wii has a built in wireless Wi-Fi connection but as good as the security is in it, I have a unique setup. I would have had to get into my router to make a setup work. (NOT the fault of the Wii). Mine laziness. Since I already have a wired LAN coming in behind my HDTV entertainment unit for the PS3 and HD-DVD player, it was a no brainier for me to get this LAN adapter. I was happy to learn in the box was a patch cable too. In just about thirty seconds my Wii was on the web. Works great!

Works great
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was struggling with system updates on the Wii due to WiFi problems. I've moved to PowerLine Ethernet over the last 12 months, and the only outlying device with connectivity issues was the Wii due to lack of Ethernet port. Bought this as a clearance item, can't remember the price but it was under $5. First time in use the system picked up all the updates for the last year.

Netflix works great now
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I had put Cat 5 cable throughout the house (before wireless). The wireless connectors seem like they didn't work so well on other posts so we opted for a wired connection (which is faster anyway). This was good and it works for what we want.

Works great - quick recognition - no hassles!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My Wii wireless connection stopped working, so I needed a wired connnection. I ran all the cable and realized that the Wii doesn't have an Ethernet port. This little adaptor did the trick. Just plugged on end of the Ethernet cable into adaptor, and other end into USB port on Wii. The Wii recognized the wired connection instantly. Most importantly, my daughter now has the free extra song content on Just Dance 2014. All is well.

Works great with Wii U
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I chose to get a wired adapter, because I've always had problems with my Wii & Wii U unreliably connecting with my particular wireless router. Using this device was as simple as connecting it to a USB port on my console and plugging in an ethernet cable. Effortless installation and great performance. Highly recommended to anyone unhappy with their Wi-Fi connection to their Wii or Wii U consoles.

Great adapter for Wii U
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Purchased this product for $7.99 for the Nintendo Wii U and the speed boost is definitely noticeable compared to the built in wireless the Wii U offers. It utilizes USB to LAN connection,.. just don't knock out the USB while playing and you won't have any problems.

I can connect my Wii to internet!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Trying to wirelessly connect my Wii was always a hassle. And when it did connect, sometimes it would drop while playing a game. This LAN adapter did the trick! No more dropped signals, in fact, a very reliable connection now.

Q: QuestionMAC address for Lan AdapterMy router is setup to allow connections by MAC address. My RF-GWII008 Lan Adapter shows a MAC address of 00:00:00:00:00:00. The router will not accept this. What gives? Is there a way to set the MAC address?
Asked by ktek77.
- A:Answer Short of pulling the device apart and hacking the firmware to setup a MAC address, then the answer is no. This device was not geared toward those of us who have custom network setups. I've had similar issues using this to connect old laptops to our work network.

Q: QuestionWill this get a Mac airbook connected to the internet?
Asked by NYBassman.
- A:Answer Yes it should. I use it to connect my windows based ultrabook to connect to the Internet via wired connection when wifi isn't enough or unavailable. As long as you have Internet service and a modem you can connect using an ethernet cable.

Q: QuestionStops Working After about an Hour or Two (Network Issue?)We set the adapter from our router to our Wii. It worked for about an hour and half, then stopped. We exchanged the adapter for another, set it up and it worked for about an hour and half, then stopped. Any idea why it would work for a while and then stop? Is there some type of signal that could be coming through our modem and router? The computers on the network are fine. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Asked by Texas Wii User.
- A:Answer I had a similar issue with that, on a corporate network. These units do not respond with a mac-address to the router. I thought this was very weird, but they are functional on most networks. I would check your router and see if it's blacklisting the adapter, due to it not seeing a mac-address.
