Q: Does the chromebook plus come with Microsoft Office already installed?
A: No, it does not. With other Chromebooks that have Android app support, you can install MS Office for Android, but the MS Office apps are showing as not compatible in Google Play on this device. Hopefully Google, Microsoft and Samsung get this worked out.
A: using google docs, sheets and gmail you can work offline effectively. Many of the android apps that are available on this machine also work offline. I find that I can do everything that I do on a pc with the exception of running the full Quicken application.
Q: Is the memory expandable via Micro SD?
A: Yes, the memory is expandable via Micro SD.
A: I have been scouring the internet for more info about the stylus and writing and what I do know is that it has palm rejection. (Not having it would have been a deal breaker!)
Q: ¿Does it come with a back lit keyboard?
A: No it does not. If you want a backlit keyboard on a Chromebook around this price, look into the Asus C302CA. For the price, I would say Newegg or B&H Photo is best bet sicne for $499 they offer the Intel Core m3 6Y30 processor which is quite a bit faster than the included ARM processor on this Samsung Chromebook Plus, and even the Asus C302CA for $499 listed here at Best Buy with the Pentium chip.
Q: Does this have an HDMI port?
A: You'll need an USB Type C-to-HDMI adapter
A: If you only want to use Google Docs, this is great. For MS Office, you can try office 365. Much cheaper than full version.
Q: When is it anticipated that the Android app support will be included in the stable channel?
A: Google has stated that this will be the first Chromebook to ship with Android app support already onboard.
