Samsung UN60F8000BFXZA LED HDTV: Spacious 1080p LED screen displays your favorite entertainment in high-definition. Smart Hub brings you apps, video and music streaming, social networking and more, while the built-in Web browser lets you surf the Internet on your TV.
Q: Difference between this and UN60F7100AFXZA
A: The main difference is the back lighting type. The 7100 has an LED (edge-lit w/micro dim) where as the 8000 has an LED (edge-lit w/ local-dim). The local Dim is by far the best on the market and provides better blacks and more vivid colors. The 7100 has a dual-core processor where as the 8000 comes with a Quad-Core processor, which means faster web browsing.
A: No glare off screen. Great picture!!!!
Q: Which HDMI input slot supports ARC (audio return Channel)?
A: HDMI-3 supports ARC - and it will be labeled "HDMI-3 ARC". Thanks for your interest in Samsung products. --Mr.Samsung
A: The built-in camera is hidden within the top of the bezel and pops up when slight pressure is applied.
Q: What's the best samsung tv for gaming and watching sports for a guy room?
A: Personally I think that a plasma is going to be your best option. I just bought the samsung plasma 8500 series and I am really enjoying it. It does not have the best latency for gaming but is not that noticeable when in game mode. The main things you want to look for are: Game mode HIgh refresh rate Contrast levels (the higher the ratio the better) low latency
Q: Is this TV good for gaming?
A: don't know the actual numbers but it does have a game mode that limits the video processing so reducing lag time.
Q: Can programs such as Netflix be used on this TV? Also does the TV convert 2D to 3D?
A: This TV does support smart apps (like Netflix). Samsung does list the 2D to 3D feature, though I must admit, I haven't used it yet. Here's a quote from their features: "Samsung's built-in 3D processor is so powerful it can convert 2D (normal) movies and photos to 3D in real-time with the push of a button." Hope that helps!
Q: is this tv dual voltage 110-240volts 50-60 HZ
A: Not that I am aware of.
