A: I purchased one for my older gear. It worked like a charm. Very convenient. It was nice not having to use the d pad on the side of the headset. I got my gear last year as a promo with my galaxy s7.
Q: If I buy 2, can I connect them both and use them at the same time?
A: No you can not. I tried, both controlers connected but fought each other for control of the device.
Q: Does new controller work for Dread halls?
A: Does not appear to do so as of 6-1-17

A: It does cause some in-game movement (rotational and tilt), but it is in a fixed spot in space due to the fact mobile VR is limited. So not as immersive as the HTC vive but it works well for what it is
