Almost Perfect

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Pros mentioned:Color, Picture quality, ResolutionCons mentioned:StandIt was love at first sight, and after sitting in front of them for 10 hours a day for the past few weeks, I'm very happy with my purchase. So here are the pros - size and 4K resolution are standouts; the detail, color quality, brightness, are wonderful. Since I spend most of my time staring at text (documents, code, email, slack) the eyestrain reduction has been very welcome (see images - the slight tint in color is because of this). I was fortunate to be able to get two of them to setup an office environment at home, and at this time I'd say they are almost perfect. So the only thing I can say is that the controls (its a direction switch at the base of the screen below the Samsung logo) can be a bit finicky when you are just starting to use it. Things like turning them off can be a bit tricky if you have no inputs, as the monitors auto detect sources and can present options based on that. But once you figure that out, its simple to use. That really the only thing I've found and that me nitpicking. One important lesson I've learned thought is not so much about the monitor, but about using 4K, especially multiple 4K monitors on an older laptop: You need an appropriate 4K Dock to push 4K content to all devices without issue. I have two laptops - one for work (a 2019 Dell Precision 7730 with Xeon processor) and my personal (a 2015 HP Omen 17t-W200 with Core i7 and and UHD screen) that I've connect the monitors to and while the newer Dell can push 4K to both monitors without any issue, my HP started stuttering and lagging just connecting one. After some checks, I found that the integrated graphics cards needed to be configured to use my NVIDIA card as primary or offload some of the processing to the Dock. I purchased the WAVLINK USB-C Dual 4K universal docking station (Model UG69PD2) with E-mark chip and it supported all three screens at 4K@ 60Hz from both devices without issues. It also supports Mac and has a built in 100W power to the laptop and devices (if your device supports it). If you are having issues with refresh of you purchase this monitor, I highly getting a dock. It'll provide a lot of flexibility and expandability for you.

It’s perfect. Except the design of wall mount.

Quality4 out of 5Value4 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5Everything is just more than I expected. And I think it’s anti glare too even there’s a No in specifications. Just one more thing: if you want to use the Monitor Desk Mount make sure that you are buying the absolute Vesa Wall Mount “75mmx75mm”. DO NOT BUY the 100mmx100/75mmx75mm. It wil not fit the circle in the back of the monitor.

Amazing monitors

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Spending $700 on 2 monitors was not the plan but after purchasing and returning cheap Lenovo monitors... I knew that this is not an area where I should compromise especially when I spend 7 hours a day staring at them for work. I have them set up on the Mount It! dual monitor stand and I see a lot of concerns about the vesa hardware issue. Honestly I just screwed them in as far as they would go without bending the mount or damaging the monitors and they are secured on even with a little gap. So the standard 75mm/100mm hardware worked for me. I added pictures.

Good but not perfect
|Posted .Owned for 1 month when reviewed.Features
Quality4 out of 5Value3 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I like it but want to love it. GOOD - As a graphic designer, it's great to have this big ultra high-def screen for my design work. - Great size and sharp picture. - Worked great out of the box. NOT AS GOOD - Not having any vertical adjustments is frustrating. It was too tall on the shelf I have for this purpose. It's too low on its own. I have it sitting on two books and it's still not really right. - When I wake it up from sleep, sometimes the screen is purple-tinted. I have to turn it off, then on again and that resolves it. - There's a speaker port in the monitor. However, I've had the computer default to that port when I turn the monitor on and I don't have a speaker attached. That results in no sound at all. Overall, recommend but wish it could have been 5 stars.

Great monitor for Xbox One X!
|Posted .Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use4 out of 5I purchased this monitor for my Xbox One X. Gears 5, Forza Horizon 4 & Resident Evil 2 looks amazing in HDR. This monitor also supports FreeSync which is great. The picture quality is superb and is one of the few Samsung IPS panels out there. If you own a Xbox One X/PS4 Pro it’s a must buy.

Love This Monitor!
|Posted .Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.Features
Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5I needed a monitor for my mid-2015 MacBook Pro, and this monitor works great and was so easy to set up. All I had to do was plug in the HDMI cord to the Mac that came with the monitor and I was up and running. It connects every time the Mac is opened. I can mirror the monitors or use as separate monitors where the mouse goes back and forth from the Mac to the 28” monitor. The monitor is clear for reading text and using for Photoshop/Lightroom projects. The 4K was a must for me for clarity, and I’m so happy that I purchased this monitor. No regrets whatsoever!

Quality5 out of 5Value5 out of 5Ease of Use5 out of 5Purchased two of these units and are using them side-by-side. The size and colors pull you in and you forget your surroundings. The eye saver feature is a very nice touch in the morning and in the evening. It definitely helps with eye strain during those long hours. Running off of a Microsoft Dock 2 at 4K/60HZ x2

Q: Questiondoes this monitor come with an hdmi 2.0 port and is it going to run at 4k 60fps?
Asked by Nick.
- A:Answer Yep it is a hdmi 2.0, it has 2 of them. It also has a displayport 1.2. It comes with a HDMI cable that is high speed and able to do 4k 60hz. I run my pc at 12bit 422 hdr on 4k 60 hz, and my play station pro runs at 10 bit 420 4k 60hz i believe. It wont do 12bit 444 or 12 bit RGB full, on my computer, which I think is a limit of HDMI 2, I could be wrong though. I dont have a DP cable to try that. It might also be because I have amd freesync enabled, I did no try with it off.

Q: QuestionDoes the monitor tilt. I don't see how it would and I fear breaking the stand by forcing it. The paperwork that came with it shows a diagram that it tilts, but it does not show you how to tilt it.
Asked by Roxy.
- A:Answer I had the same problem! I kept looking at the manual and looking online for documentation or videos. I finally figured it out just by trying to tilt it from different points. It does tilt, and it hinges right where the stand attaches to the monitor. I think the best way to tilt it is to put one hand on top and one hand on bottom, both in the center, and push from the bottom. Hope this helps!

Q: QuestionCan this monitor play HDCP 2.2 protected content such as Netflix 4K content?
Asked by David.
- A:Answer Yes it does, I play 4K (with HDR Support) Netflix on my PS4 Pro through the HDMI 2.0 port that's on the back.

Q: QuestionDoes this monitor play sound if connected to a laptop via HDMI?
Asked by Mega.
- A:Answer No it will not. No speakers on the monitor itself. You would have to have the audio coming form the laptop itself in the SOund Settings.

Q: QuestionAny good for gaming?
Asked by Greg.
- A:Answer In my opinion it's good for my needs as I don't do too much competitive gaming and play on my PS4 Pro as the panel's max refresh rate is 60 Hz. If you do competitive gaming and need that edge, look for high refresh rate monitors. I mostly bought it for the the 4K HDR and the fact that Samsung finally made an IPS monitor. Also the Freesync support is a plus for PC players who use AMD GPUs or even Nvidia GPUs but you'll need to use the Diplayport connection for Nvidia cards.

Q: QuestionDoes this monitor have a built in speaker?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer No. It does have a jack you could plug headphone or computer speakers into.
Answered by stljrs
Q: QuestionHas anyone found a compatible wall mount?
Asked by 10101.
- A:Answer All 75x75 VESA mounts are compatible. Note you may need spacers for a combo 100x100 mount as the plate may be larger than the inset in the back of the monitor.
