A game accessible to anyone!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. There is no other way around it, you deserve to play this game as a person, as an experienced gamer or as a new gamer. Super Mario 3D World has everything for everyone, it starts with introductory relatively easy worlds and ends with you playing as a champion. The challenge is leveled perfectly with the level design. The level design is one of the best in the Mario franchise. Even though it shares some similarities with Super Mario 3D Land for Nintendo 3DS, every object in 3D World is perfectly blended with its environments leaving any connexion with its predecessors behind. It doesn't add anything new to the Mario formula, instead it decides to accommodate power ups together with gameplay, of any of the various 2D and 3D Mario games like the New Super Mario Bros. series or the Mario Galaxy series, in new ways. The level of detail in the graphics makes you feel as if you are Mario. The grass moving with the wind, the reflection of the lights around the objects, the shadow of the objects, the environments atmosphere and the animals all interact with each other giving life to the universe. The music is perfect for the kind of game. It doesn't matter if any tune of the soundtrack is not orchestrated as the Mario Galaxy games, 3D World just let your body know that you can also like jazz music. I would never imagine that jazz fits perfectly in this kind of game. My conclusions, NINTENDO AND EAD TOKIO (developer behind the game) HAS DONE IT AGAIN. A Mario game playing like a video game using the technical power inside the Wii U as if it was a monster computer, you will play this game 10 years from now and it will retain its value. With this game the art style drives the technological power nor the other way around. You will notice that 3D World is how video games should be, pure games.

playing with 3 people is insane
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.this game is a very terrific experience alone...a bit challenging with 2...and just down right hilarious with 3. this is a game that could be played together with friends. the graphics are very pretty...they could have been a bit better but..wouldn't have made much difference. the wiimotes can be used for additional players...but using the small dpad could be uncomfortable and also if you shake the wiimote mario ground pounds...that's not good. it causes some unneccessary deaths. but it is playable in case you don't want to waste money on the wiiU pro controllers.

One of the best Mario series games ever
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Best Mario game since Super Mario 64, and arguably surpasses it. Fun for all ages, from beginner to expert. Lots of stages, each unique and little repetition between them, providing a new experience in each level played. Between the three green stars and stamp to find, plus capping the flag pole at the end of every stage, there's enough to do in each to make you come back to each stage without the game forcing it upon you. And while it doesn't visually wow you, there are subtle touches to point out detailed graphics, such as scales on Bowser's skin. This game wins it with gameplay. Anyone who owns a Wii U should have it.

Mario is back in top form!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game finally brings back the same feel of the glory days of Mario. It is a blast to play and has a ton of secrets and a great balance of difficulty and fun. The cat suit is a fun and cute addition and the co-op multiplayer is lots of fun with friends. Be warned, however, the multiplayer makes some areas easier to complete while other areas a lot more challenging. If you get frustrated by dying several times because someone accidentally getting in your way, you may want to avoid this part, but if not, it is really a lot of fun. Glad to see Mario back in such a fun game, he has really been missed.

Must have Wii U title
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is the title to get on Wii U. The game will be enjoyable for the casual crowd but also challenging for seasoned gamers. The graphics are crisp, with detailed textures, and fluid animations. The audio is a set of enjoyable new tunes that sound very familiar. Its pleasant and comforting. The gameplay is where the game shines. Having played more matured titles recently, this was a breath of fresh air, with platforming/sidescrolling action that is challenging and rewarding. I would strongly recommend this title and is easily worth the cost of a Wii U.

Even 2D Mario fans will love this!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'll keep it short as usual folks: This game is a must-have for any Wii-U owners. It's great for local multiplayer, the ghost characters you can watch play levels is helpful and not annoying, the controls are great and the music is addictive. It looks great and you'll find yourself wanting to play more and more. Even replaying levels is a blast. The playable characters are unique but not SO unique (good and bad) so there is some variation. It's great. Get it. Enjoy it. Bring a friend. Various controller options means everyone is happy.

Great Family Game Play!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game is just a bunch of fun for an entire family to play. It's not a hard to play game, but it's still challenging for most levels of players. The fact that my and my 6yr old nephew can sit and play for hours and both of us have a great time is worth every penny spent for it. He does better at it than I do, but I'm not much of a gamer. My son beat the whole thing in a day... so it's not that hard for an avid gamer. It's definitely a "get the kids, we are all playing together" (or, rather, get the parents/adults...) type of game.

Fantastic Mario Game
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This game brought me back to the good ol' days...Worth it for that alone. Otherwise the game was a lot of fun. Multiplayer was TRULY really really cool and competitive, it really adds to the game. Story is actually simpler than usual, imho, but when was story really the important part of a Mario platformer...Other than that, I had a lot of fun with the game. A really cool thing with the game having online connectivity is that at the end of every level, after you beat it, you have the option to send a picture message drawn using the Wii U gamepad to everyone else who beat that particular level. You automatically see everyone elses, and thats a lot of fun. There are some cool perspective based puzzles in each world of the game too, which is a neat add on. Fun Game. If you have a Wii U, Buy it. Plus if you own Super Luigi U(and have a save file on your Wii U for it), you get a free Luigi themed copy of the original SNES Mario World ingame!!!
