A new YOUNG pope is elected at the Vatican and he has a different view on how the Catholic Church should be seen in today's world. Some regard him as a Saint even before he becomes Pope. I would have loved to have seen a 2nd season on this. Jude Law was excellent as were all of the other actors in the series. A must see - Funny - Serious - Political - and an all around good Drama.

The Young Pope is a fantastic mini-series that was overlooked when it was released in 201 much like Leftovers, another HBO show. It's different, weird, and a love letter to classic organized religion in contrast to today's Catholic church. Great performances and character studies in this show.

I have been wanting this HBO Series forever on bluray & Digital HD and I finally pulled the trigger and purchased it. So far I have really enjoyed all the episodes, Glad I made the purchase.

This is a really hilarious production from HBO. It's a blast of blasphemy (in the good sense of humor), we wait for the second season.

I will start off saying that Jude Law is excellent. The musical scores are wonderful and story lines are compelling. I can see why this show causes a lot of criticism within the church community.....This show is definitely controversial.

In the interest of the Vatican and its propriety, it may help one to take an obscure view of this film and enjoy it.

Love Jude Law as the Pope! What a great series to watch!
