A: The DVR/NVR comes with a 1TB hard drive. You can set the recording to "intelligent mode" which will record 5 frames per second until it senses motion, which then it will boost up to 24 frames per second. In intelligent mode, on average, you should get around 4 weeks before the hard drive is full and starts recording over itself. That time will be less if its not set in intelligent mode.
A: Yes it is! The name of our smartphone app is simply, Zmodo, and will let you access the cameras from your phone.
Q: Is the DVR wireless so I can sync it to my router or does it need to be hard wired to router?
A: It comes with a cord that will need to be hard wired to the router.
Q: what is the temperature allowance such as in the winter temps?
A: The outdoor cameras are rated to withstand constant temperatures as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit. If the temperature occasionally dips below 14 degrees, as it often does in the Northern US, the cameras shouldn't be affected.
A: The cameras comes with a power adapter and 6ft cord. They can be plugged into any normal AC outlet. They do not require batteries.
A: The outdoor cameras don't have to be sheltered but because they are not designed with a sun shield per say, you would get better images if they were installed under an awning or roof soffit during the mid day hours.
Q: Can I plug the dvr into a TV ? To view all 4 cameras
A: Yes, there is an HDMI port on back of the NVR that you can plug into a TV or computer monitor with the same port.
A: they are not completely wireless. you have to plug all 4 cameras into a 120v outlet. So hopefully there is an outlet within 6ft of your camera. Otherwise, be prepared to spend some money on an electrician to come out and install 4 new outlets for the cameras.
