Q: Definition of free shipping on this item
A: Good question! Haul away of older equipment is included with the purchase and delivery of any new appliance or large-screen TV. For more information on installation services though you may wish to refer to our Delivery & Installation FAQ: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Appliances-Promotions/Appliance+Delivery_Installation+pop-up/pcmcat158300050000.c?id=pcmcat158300050000
Q: Does this washer fill all the way up?
A: Yes, this was one of the last washing machines that would completely FILL with water. But it only lasted my family and I 4 years. It never completely drained no matter how many spin cycles you ran which meant more money spent in drying the clothing in the dryer. That is, if the clothing, bedding, towels, etc survived the wash. This particular GE product was of very poor design. Anything that got caught under the agitator would get ripped, torn and destroyed. The water/seal between the basin drum and the agitator was non existent which meant the metal or ceramic (i didn't investigate that much) holder that held the agitator to the drum self destructed after only 4 years of use. This product is terrible and I would not recommend it to anyone. Not even an enemy !!
Q: Is the washer supposed to pause during/after filling on delicate cycle?
A: It does with mine. I just assumed it was normal.
Q: Is this can wash king size comforter?
A: I would say no. I had a larger machine before and could barely fit in a king sized comforter and this machine is smaller.
A: I didn't. As long as your hoses aren't corroded and the faucets for the water fill coming in from your wall are in good shape, you should be fine.
Q: soapy water left in the drum
A: It appears you open the lid, while the machine was in motion and it throw off the censors. Contact GE to have it reset.
Q: What cycle should be used for clothes labeled "gentle cycle" or "delicate"?
A: Permanent Press
Q: My washer stopped working in mid cycle last night and I cannot figure out why.
A: Some how this has happened to me as well, I would guess that somehow the "pause" button is being pressed, all I have had to do is press the button again and it continues to wash from whatever "position' it was in.
