Lesson learned
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I wish I had read the reviews for the Jawbone Up before I spent my money on this product, however I'm glad I waited this long to review it. I bought my original band November 2014, needed a replacement by January 2015 when it stopped working suddenly. Flash forward May 2015 the replacement stopped working. Contacted company after a few disappointed calls they agreed to send me yet another replacement. My original band was red size large, they sent me black size small. REALLY❓I emailed them that it was too small for my wrist, I have not heard from them. Terrible customer service. Go to their website before you purchase read all complaints. I'm out my money, but I will never buy from them again. No problem with Best Buy this is a Jawbone co. Issue.

Perfect tracking, keep an eye on the cap!
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've had the UP bracelet for a little over a week now and absolutely no problems. It's extremely accurate on the treadmill as far as calories burned, distance, and pace. I compared results to the machine I was on. I was also able to track my HIIT training. I run at 6 m.p.h. for 30 seconds and then turn it up to 8 m.p.h. for 1 minute. The band graphed this perfectly and there was a distinct difference in speed changes. SLEEP. It also does an amazing job of tracking my sleep schedule. The bracelet and app work together wonderfully in this aspect. By collecting all my sleeping data throughout the week, its able to give me an average hours slept and offer insights on how I can hit my sleeping goal of 8 hours. I'm currently averaging 6 hrs and 59 mins. ACTIVITY. It also does a superb job tracking your daily step count. After the week of tracking it was able to provide some insight for me. "A brisk 10 minute walk in the morning will help you burn more calories all day and increase your step average of 8,008 steps a day by about 14% - that's 7,980 more steps a week." It motivates you to help you hit your goals by showing you data from well... YOU! THE APP. The UP app is flawless. It looks beautiful, works effectively and has many excellent features. You can set your "smart alarm", "nap alarm", "log workouts" and many others. The best feature about the app is the "Lifeline". It shows you a daily progress since the very first day you started. I'm looking forward to my friends getting the UP wristband so we can help each other hit our daily goals. SIZE. I recommend going with a size bigger. I wear a large. I'm 5'9 roughly 175 lbs. My wrist size is roughly 7.5". I normally wear a rubber wristband on my dominate hand (R) anyways. So I took it off at best buy and measured the size of my band with the sizes on the "UP bands" This is a good size for me, I think it's better to be loose then super tight and uncomfortable. The idea is you don't want to notice it's there. Downfalls: No bluetooth support. It's not a big issue but it could be better. I don't have a problem taking the cap off and syncing the band twice a day. It's kind of become a focal point of my day to gauge what I need to do for the rest of the day. The CAP! It's not attached! Somehow, I have managed not to lose this thing yet. I take care of my things and i'm very "OCD" in this sense, however I can see many people losing the cap left and right. If you are one of the people that lose your keys or personal items on a daily basis... plan on buying a sack of these things. So far the cap hasn't come off on it's own. Just make sure you're aware of where you set it down. Waterproof. I have not tested this theory and I don't intend too. However, I have gotten it completely soaked a couple times on accident doing the dishes and its completely fine. I don't wear it in the shower either. Why? I just spent $130+ on an "electronic gadget", why would I purposely try to ruin it. Overall------ 9/10 There's definitely room for improvement but the band does exactly what it says it does. It's the first of its kind to add fashion and personality to an activity tracker. I have people asking me everyday what i'm wearing on my wrist. It's fun to tell them and they are just as excited about it as I am! It truly does help improve your life and motivate you to hit YOUR goals. Great product.

This is freakin awesome!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prior to buying, I searched reviews and consumer reviews for a complete understanding of the product. I chose the UP because: -Less charge time - After full charge the UP bracelet holds it's charge for ten days. -IPhone App worked easily with other Apps and products that I already use -Reviews of Customer Service - for that just in case..... -Ease of use - since I don't have to charge it every night and it sits on my wrist, I don't have to remember to put it back on. I only have to remember to plug it in to my phone once a day I recommend going to Best Buy and looking at the actual product, some of the colors on the screen are not spot on. Also, it is tough to determine if you are getting the right size without going to look at it. When I went in to Best Buy the associate showed me the sizing ring on the back of the package to help determine what size was needed. After ten full days of the benefits of UP, I can honestly say it is making a difference. I plug it into my phone every day at lunch and it lets me know where I am in my daily goal of 10,000 steps. This in turn helps me decide if I should park a little further out at the grocery store or go for a walk with the dog when I get home. With the aid of the app, I learned quite a bit about myself to include that I am way too sedentary and that my 3 days a week at the gym still doesn't equal 10,000 steps. I also learned that the nights that my husband worked the midnight shift, I got a little over six hours of sleep instead of the recommended (and preferred!) eight hours.

Nifty device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really enjoy this device. I wear it nearly constantly to count my steps and track my sleep. The app used with it is beautifully conceived and easy to use. The only minor issue that I have with the wristband is that sometimes my sync fails if I haven't restarted my (Droid) phone in a while. Restarting the phone and holding the phone and band very still usually takes care of that. I love the smart alarm function (it wakes you from light sleep up to 20 minutes before your alarm), but what I love even more about it is that I can change the window so I can make sure that I won't be up before a certain time (this is especially important to me on work nights). Also customizable are your goals: you can set a sleep goal for any amount of time you want, and you can set your steps goal to more or less than the typically-recommended 10,000 -- a great feature for those who are just starting out on their fitness journey! The only minor drawback I see is that you don't get immediate feedback; instead you have to plug in the band to your phone or iPod and sync it to see how many steps, etc. you have reached. But overall, a fantastic device. I highly recommend it to anyone who wants to track their fitness levels and sleep.

Great way to get your fitness goals started
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.UP by Jawbone is a great tool for those who wants to get a jump start on on their fitness by tracking activities, sleep, and even calories intake. For me just having the UP was more of a reason and motivation to do more activities and exercise, than wanting to track everything. It works great in helping one realize how much they've been active or not. I've also used Nike fuel band and I personally prefer UP for two reasons, one, it tracks sleep unlike the Fuel band, and secondly, it 's battery life with way better ( 10 days or more compared to 2-3 days with Fuel band). Also it comes with the more intutitive App for the iPhone that can help track calories intake. It doesn't sync over bluetooth or have a watch mode like the Fuel band however, those are the main reasons that it gets better battery life. I dont like the idea of having to take it off every so often becasue it really defeats the purpose of being able to track everything. I also prefer the way it syncs through the iPhone's headphone jack which is definitely faster than the bluetooth sync.

I whole heartedly recommend this vs. other similar
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Band battery lasts around 10 days. LOVE The iphone interface- super user friendly and helpful. Besides tracking activity and sleep patterns, this also has a really good nutrition and mood tracker. Alarm works really well- and no waking up my husband when I have early a.m. calls. What sets this band apart is that it will "buzz" you after you have been sitting too long. Research shows you need to get up and move about every 45 minutes to keep you metabolism up. If you work at a desk all day- this is a GREAT reminder to get up and move about. Also, this band does NOT track time in the car as "activity" as some of the other monitors do. Really no complaints other than no display as far as progress against activity on the band itself. However, easy enough to synch w/ my phone, so this isn't a show stopper. Totally would recommend!

Decent for what it is
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Counts your steps and tracks your sleep. Seems accurate. You have to plug it into your phone to sync. Newer more expensive bands do this wirelessly and help give you real time feedback. This is cheap and as long as you don't expect more than it offers, it works well. Battery life is a week or more. Have had no problems with water, but I haven't pushed it beyond hand washing.

pretty neat
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Makes keeping track of steps and activity easy. doesn't get in the way during normal daytime activities, work, treadmill etc. A little hard to remove the cap to plug into cell phone and to charge, but for what we paid on sale,it;s a bargin. Overall 4 stars-difficult to set up,keeps a long charge-once a week, and a sleep mode.

Q: QuestionHow do I know what size to order?
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer JawboneUPSizingChart (from amazon.com) Step 1: Get a string, a marker and a ruler. Wrap the string snugly around your wrist. Mark the string where the two ends cross. Step 2: Use a ruler to measure the string from one end to the marked place. Then see the size guide to the right to determine which wristband is right for you. If you're between two sizes, we recommend choosing the larger size. Small is 5.5-6 inches Medium is 6-7 inches Large is 7-8 inches

Q: Questionhow does it track info?i was wondering how this device tracks cal's burned during a workout or cal's ingested during a meal thanks!
Asked by Anonymous.
- A:Answer you have to go in the site and set up your weight , age , height etc. and it figures out your rate of calorie burn that way , i have compared it to the ARC machine at my gym , i load my stats when i begin workout, and it is within 5 calories , so I think that is pretty good
