Q: What is the thread size for these speakers? Asked LG and they don't seem to know. Also their site reads wall mount kit available, but after contacting them, they don't have one. How do these mount to the wall. All they have is the tiny threads.

A: The base is wireless so it connects wirelessly to the sound bar. The speakers are wired to the base. Wish they wouldn't call it wireless bc it's not true wireless. It's the same setup as the wireless subwoofer. The sub connects to the sound bar wirelessly.

A: Hi, I have just bought the sl8yg and the spk8 rear speaker set is compatible and they sound Great, just be careful when wireing to the wireless base unit as at first I had no sound ,make sure the connection is sound and you follow the colour coding instructions for right and left and positive and negative, I would also suggest buying a pair of generic speaker stands from Amazon, about £25 for the pair ,well worth it. Once connected, I think the best sound modes are movies or music , hope this helps ,,,,,,,duffyboy

Q: I have the sk8 rear speakers, but they don’t sound that loud is there a setting or a cable to replace the ones that came with the speakers to make them louder? My sk9y soundbar over powers the sound and it’s almost like the rear speakers are not there.

A: dont like mine either they are going to be returned after first of the year not a very good system very disappointed they wasn't cheap

Truly immersive sound at an exceptional price
I really love these speakers. They came nicely packaged with sturdy foam separating each component. The speakers themselves are really nice looking and belt from quality materials. The receiver unit is lightweight with a Sleek design. The entire setup is plug-and-play. The instructions that come with the unit are horrible so let me help you out. Unplug your compatible soundbar. You will know it's compatible if your Soundbar has a Y in it's model number. Then connect the speakers to the receiver. Then plug in the receiver. Once the receiver Powers up you'll see a red light. Then plug in your Soundbar and power it on. The Soundbar will automatically connect to the receiver. The little light on the receiver will turn green. At that point it's all set up. You can use the remote that comes with the soundbar to control the volume on your surround speakers. I set this up to go with my 75 Nano 90 in my bedroom. I set the surround sound speakers mounted at the end of each side of my headboard which is approximately 2 1/2 ft above my resting point. What I got out of these speakers was a whole lot more than I expected. East Shadow functions exactly as designed. The sound was crisp and clear, and really brought together my home theater. Suddenly I heard sounds of music that I hadn't previously heard, and definitely not in the way I hear it now. These LG surround sound speakers offer a true immersive audio experience at an extremely reasonable price. Do take note that although these are promoted as Wireless speakers, LG means Wireless from the source. The speakers still need to be connected to the receiver. The system comes with speaker wire which is very thin and not very intrusive. The wires can also be run through the wall out the bottom for a wireless look. Also, the speakers do not come with wall mounts.

Essential add-on for the LG SP8YA Soundbar
I purchased these along with the LG SP8YA Soundbar. This actually resulted in an automatic discount to the rear speakers by purchasing them together. They paired instantly after powering them on with no issues. So far, I've had no issues with them losing their connection. The wireless receiver included with the speakers is about a foot from my soundbar. Note that unlike other rear speakers currently on the market with soundbars, these require a connection to traditional speaker wire. I had existing speaker wire in my ceiling and this was actually why I chose this specific model. The wires plug into the receiver and the receiver wirelessly connects to the soundbar. Other rear speakers I've seen require a connection to power instead of speaker wires. My room setup would not allow me to connect rear speakers via a power outlet. Overall, they sound good for rear speakers and put out more power than my previous ones. I did have to purchase some aftermarket mounts from Amazon for around $15 as these do not come with mounts (but they do have scew holes on the bottom and back of the speakers to support mounts).

Excellent sound and well worth the upgrade!
I added this kit to my LG SN9YG sound bar. As good as the sound bar is this kit really compliments and adds to the surround experience. I was missing my old Sony 5.1 system until now. These speakers sound excellent and immersive, especially when watching movies. It has taken the sound bar to a whole new level. They are heavy little speakers and have a good feel and look of quality to them. I did mount them with the BestBuy RocketFish tilting wall mount kit. Also, since I had to run wire longer than the included 16 foot 18 gauge aluminum speaker wire, I purchased RocketFish pure copper 16 gauge wire and it works great without loss of signal at over 25 feet. The receiver for the speakers is placed on top of kitchen cabinets about 27' from the sound bar to hide it and the wires; at that distance the receiver works flawlessly with no connection issues. You wont go wrong adding these to the sound bar!
