Great Mouse
|Posted .I bought this mouse when my first anywhere mouse didn't work with my computer's Bluetooth anymore, and I couldn't find the USB adapter. I bought this one and it connects with the Bluetooth just fine. I love the fact that I don't have to have a certain color or surface to use it on..shoot I use this one the arm of the chair I am sitting in. I love this mouse and would recommend it to anyone.

Among the best portable mouse
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery, Ease of use, Use with laptopOften switch between Mac and Windows laptops, and was looking for a portable, Bluetooth mouse with rechargeable mouse. Then this came along, and it's almost perfect for what I needed, except… This mouse utilizes a newer version of Bluetooth called 'Bluetooth LE' (Also called Bluetooth Smart or simple BLE), which utilizes very little power on itself so batteries last a lot longer, and here's the problem: The Mac I'm using is a mid-2012 that does support Bluetooth 4.0 but for some reason cannot pair with this mouse. For now I'm using the USB adapter that comes with it (USB Unifying Receiver), which, when connected makes the computer see the mouse and similarly connected keyboard like a wired USB device. This way worked perfectly and right away. Another computer I use is a new Windows 10 laptop, which connected right away with Bluetooth, and has no issues, so beware if you plan on using Bluetooth and have a slightly older laptop. The mouse itself works great. Works on clear glass or any other surface. Clicking feels right. Has side buttons and side scrolling on the wheel. What's different is that clicking on the wheel sets it in either step click or free scrolling. There is no middle button when clicking on the wheel; Instead the middle button is behind the wheel and a bit hard to reach (or until I get used to it). The wheel is made of metal with a rubberized center and has a certain quality feeling to it. The mouse is light but has good weight on the back of it, so it feels solid when used. The mouse can connect to three computers simultaneously (when using the Logitech Options driver) or has a button on the back that pressing it switches between the three devices, be either Bluetooth LE or the USB receiver(s). The reconnection on either BLE or USB when switching or powering on is almost instant. Rarely seen a Bluetooth device reconnect so quickly. Mouse can be use while recharging (USB Cable included) and charged completely in about 1 hour. When turning it on, a single light behind the scroll wheel indicates the level of charge (which goes dark after a few seconds). Software driver: The "Logitech Options" software is optional but it offers a very neat trick: It works with Logitech keyboards and/or mouse that supports what they call 'flow': All the computers that use the same mouse and/or keyboard, when used at the same time communicate with each other through this software (and Wi-Fi or Ethernet), which makes the mouse switch computers when crossing a (defined) corner on the screen, literally making them work like a single computer (The connection indicator on the mouse automatically changes to the active computer). Also the clipboard can be set to be shared between them, regardless of running either macOS or Windows. The clipboard is shared over Wi-Fi, and copying either images or text works fine.

Do not waste your money

Quality1 out of 5Value1 out of 5Ease of Use1 out of 5Logitech Flow DOES NOT WORK. That is the only reason I purchased this mouse. The mouse itself is cheaply made. The bottom scratched on the first day of use. It kept losing connection as well. I returned it and bought something more affordable and rugged.

Posted .Hi. Sorry to see you're having some performance issues with your MX Anywhere 2S mouse. It's possible that you may have had a defective unit for it to not work with Logitech Flow. You do have a 1 year limited warranty that comes with the purchase of the product that can be used to get a replacement sent to you if you choose. But if you have any questions, check out the Logitech support page at https://support.logi.com/hc/en-us/articles/360023300134--Getting-Started-MX-Anywhere-2S. Hope that helps!

Great portable mouse
Posted .Pros mentioned:Ease of use, Use with laptopI'm a fan of Logitech mouses and this MX Anywhere 2S doesn't disappoint! I like how it's compact, doesn't take up much space, fits inside the palm of your hand naturally and comfortably, and is very light. It is also more low-profile than my main gaming mouse - the Logitech MX1000 laser - which seems to fit me better ergonomically. Setting up the mouse was a pleasant surprise because it was just so easy. I first set up the mouse to my desktop computer by inserting the adapter into a USB slot. Once Windows 10 automatically finished installing the driver, the mouse was immediately ready to go. I then connected the mouse to my laptop next and the process was equally simple and easy. I flipped the mouse around and pressed the button on the bottom of the mouse. The LED light lit up underneath the "2." I then opened up the "Bluetooth & other devices" setting page in Windows 10 and selected the MX Anywhere 2S. The mouse began working immediately. The sensitivity, speed, and accuracy of the mouse is top-notch. With its 4000-dpi spec, it's more accurate and precise than my old MX1000 laser mouse. And I love how it works so well on different surfaces. Having said all this, however, there is one scenario where I wouldn't use this mouse for - PC gaming. And that's because the mouse only has 7 buttons. For the types of games I place, I require more buttons. But for everything else, I like the MX Anywhere 2S better than my Logitech MX1000 laser. I don't normally pack a mouse with my laptop when I go traveling but this mouse is so good, I'm going to be taking this with me. All in all, this is an excellent mouse and I highly recommend it.

Oooh....nice
Posted .Pros mentioned:Battery, Use with laptopSeeing as I've been a Logitech user for several years now, I'll try not to be too biased in this review so here goes. First off, as far as peripherals go, I've used numerous Logitech devices over the years for my desktops, Mac, and work/Windows laptops. Almost every single one of them performed great and were only replaced due to accidents or upgrading devices. This mouse is pretty much perfect for me as my on-the-go mouse for either my work or personal laptop. I still have the previous version of this mouse for my work laptop and it's still working great. As with most Logitech devices, the ergonomics of this mouse is pretty spot on. This one, compared to my other mouse, is considerably lower in profile. For me, this might take a little time getting used to but nothing big. It's standard in terms of buttons on this mouse. There aren't any 4th/5th buttons in weird locations on the mouse like with some other ones I've seen. Just left/right buttons, scroll and two thumb buttons. The placement of these buttons is a bit different from my previous mouse so, again, it'll take a bit getting used to but whatev. The buttons are pretty crisp and the Anywhere tracking on this mouse works as intended on pretty much any surface. The receiver for this mouse seems to be a smidge smaller than my other one, not that I'm complaining. Very low profile so it'll be sure to not get snagged on anything in my backpack. Charging cable is included and THANK YOU LOGITECH for putting the charging port in a competent place...IN FRONT where you can charge the mouse and still use it. Unfortunately I don't have any other peripherals to utilize the Unifying receiver feature so I can't really comment on that. Overall, a fantastic mouse that's low profile, ergonomic and reasonably priced.

A very useful input device
Posted .Pros mentioned:Ease of useCons mentioned:InstructionsI got the MX Anywhere 2S mouse as a replacement for a trackball that I was tired of using. I mostly just wanted a wireless mouse, but the advanced tracking claims on this on grabbed my attention, and I was not disappointed. First, though, let me mention two items that were a minor concern for me. The size is a bit small for anyone with larger than average hands, but that’s the case with many things if you have large hands. The second thing is the lack of any instructions. Initial setup and pairing was super simple, but some of the more advanced features seem to warrant some sort of pamphlet explaining what they do and how to provision them. The website was quite a bit of help, but it’s nice to have a hard copy you can refer back to when you need a refresher and don’t feel like going online to look it up. What I truly enjoy is the laser and range on this mouse. I can have my laptop set up on the coffee table while I sit a few feet away on the couch, and the pointer responds as crisply as if it were wired. It doesn’t matter if I’m moving it along a couch cushion, my jeans, my leg, or even my dog’s belly (only once and she thought it was tummy rubs, so don’t go for the torches and pitchforks), it tracks as smoothly as if it were on a mousepad. I already mentioned how effortless the initial pairing is, but I want to reiterate that it truly is “plug and play.” I also enjoyed the ability to copy and paste across multiple computers. This feature does require both computers to be on the same wifi network, and that Logitech’s Options software be installed. The mouse the pairs with each device via the USB dongle, or Bluetooth. Another thing worth mention is that the control wheel switches back and forth from free-spinning to having reference clicks, which is nice if you deal with sites or documents that require you to scroll endlessly to reach the bottom. I’m quite pleased with this mouse and have already recommended it to friends.

Q: QuestionDoes this mouse also have Bluetooth? In the spec shows USB receiver and says nothing about Bluetooth, but in the reviews it says has a good Bluetooth connectivity, which is it?
Asked by MJ.
- A:Answer Yes, if your computer/laptop has built-in bluetooth it can connect to the mouse using it. Otherwise, you can also use the included Logitech unifyinig receiver (proprietary bluetooth) if you don't have bluetooth built in

Q: Questiondoes the mouse have a option to get a middle mouse button because pressing down on the mouse wheel only changes scroll type
Asked by harry.
- A:Answer The MX Anywhere 2S has more options to chose from regarding its buttons than you can imagine. They can even be re-programmed from its default to accomplish differing actions on different programs. The center button behind the scroll wheel can be re-programmed to Copy, Paste, change applications, etc. Go online to Logitech.com and type in the "Anywhere 2S Mouse" and look for "Logitech Options" software for listings of all the ways the buttons can be re-programmed to do a huge variety of useful actions. When using the Web my Back Button (default) returns me to my previous Web pages but when I'm using Excel or Word I re-programmed it to "paste" what I have previously "Copied" using my selected re-programmed center button behind the scroll wheel to "Copy" so I don't have to use drop-down menus to click on for Copy or Paste.

Q: QuestionDo we charge the mouse prior to pairing it with computer? And for how long before we use it?
Asked by Newtech.
- A:Answer This mouse can be connected via Bluetooth or USB. It doesn’t need to be charge if you’re using the usb, however, if you’re connecting your laptop/computer to it via Bluetooth, you’ll need to charge it. A full charge can last you for up to a week, depending on how often you use it. And it only takes less than two hours to fully charge it. I hope that answered your question.
