Good keyboard but some flaws
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall a great keyboard. After pairing, it always connects instantly when turned on. Long battery life. I have to recharge my iPad more often than the keyboard. Great response on the keys. The retainer clip at the lock button cracked within three weeks. Closing the cover only locks the iPad about half the time.

Great keyboard with a weak frame
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This case is very attractive and the keyboard works very well, but the frame, just from gently sliding my ipad into place, got a hairline crack in one of the support tabs, which has gotten a bit bigger in the few weeks I've had it. So I guess eventually it will mean the end of this case, which is too bad because it is a little pricy and I was hopeing it would last longer than it seems to be. I recommend it, but take that with a grain of salt. Maybe my case had an unusual flaw or maybe the engineering is faulty...

Love it
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I do love the keyboard quite a lot however it does not hold a charge long enough for me. That just means that I have to charge it more frequently than I would like but then again that's true for every electronic product line I own

Thin and Portable
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the Logitech - Ultrathin Portfolio Keyboard Case for Apple iPad Air - Midnight Navy color recently and I LOVE it. It's thin and portable and makes the iPad Air look slick. It connects via Bluetooth (no surprise there) and it says that it has a 3 month charge life, so I'm not plugging the keyboard in nightly, which is great. Before I bought the iPad Air and subsequently this case, I had the iPad and had the Logitech Fabric Skin Keyboard Folio. Now that was a great case and instead of the bubble keys, it had the keys flush to the fabric, which made the case thinner. However, it cost a pretty penny. However, since the iPad Air is so thin, I decided to go with the bubble keyboard and I couldn't be happier. The only minor drawback is that the Logitech Fabric Skin Keyboard Folio knew when you were planning on using the keyboard, and when you weren't. This one doesn't seem to be able to do that- but maybe it does and I've not figured it out yet. If you are looking for a great case with built in keyboard, for your iPad Air- this is the one. Logitech outdid themselves on this one.

Good keyboard life, but bad design
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Pros: Keyboard life is great, lasts 2-3 months per charge, and I use this 3-4 times a week for 6 hours at a time. Fold design is neat, but see suggestions below later. Cons: bad design. Rubber that holds the keyboard up on the back wore away.now, the ipad slides off at the slightest bump. design is not reliable and consistent. especially dangerous on those flimsy student desks at college. suggestion: extend a metal and plastic and rubber hook to secure the ipad from top corners to bottom corners or something. Holding the ipad at the two top corners is not stable. Want stability? make sure case secures all four corners of ipad. golden rule! oh, and rubber is suppose prevent scratches on an ipad -- not fix something in place by itself (see red highlight in picture). Use metal with the rubber for maximum hold.

Case design flaw - terrible support from Logitech
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My daughter purchased this for me for Christmas. I am writing this review here in hopes to alert others to the problems that I have had with this folio keyboard, and to offer some advice on it's use. As I mentioned, this was a Christmas gift. My initial impression was very good. The keyboard is very functional with a good layout and key press feel. My daughter bought this based on the good reviews both there an other online resources. About January 15th I noticed that the iPad Air was slipping down some on the upper left hand side (when opened and using the keyboard). I looked closely and saw that the left clip that holds the iPad in place had cracked. This is the side where the iPad screen on/off button is. Thinking I had gotten a defective case, I brought it back to the store and although they only have a 15 day return policy, they allowed me to exchange it for a new one. Around March 7th I once again noticed that the new case was broken in exactly the same spot. I am not a hard user of the case (or my iPad for that matter) and could see that the reason for the clip breaking was due to the design. Logitech designed this clip with an integrated plastic tab where the user can manually turn the screen on or off, leaving only 1/8th of an inch of plastic to hold the iPad in place. Whenever the tab is pressed to turn the screen on/off, the tab puts stress on this 1/8" of plastic and after only a few presses it will break. This causes the iPad to slip and possibly fall out of the case. As this was well out of the 15 day return time, I decided to contact Logitech. Their customer service is absolutely horrible. When you call, the automated system tries to route you to the proper department. The first choices are for a device for a Windows operating system, a Macintosh operating system, or other. This being an iOS operating system, I chose other. The system will then ask if it is for audio, gaming, a Harmony device, or video. That's all. (I felt like I was on the Tim and Eric show and was waiting to purchase a boat and change my wife's name to TARGUS TARGUS) I just started pressing keys and eventually I was routed to a person. When I explained the problem, the did offer to replace the device. When I explained to them that I would prefer to have my money back, they told me that unless you purchased the product through their web site, and it was within 30 days of the purchase, they do not offer refunds. Period. I then had a conversation with the service person and their supervisor about how the product is flawed, and if the tab mentioned earlier is used it will break every time. This went nowhere - they refused to give a refund. At least they are offering to replace it. The folio has a 2 year warranty, so as I'm sure each new one will break, we'll see how many they will replace. If you purchased this I'm sure you will eventually get to where I am now. My suggestion is to NOT use the screen on/off button. When the folio is opened and closed the magnets will turn the screen on or off without having to use the button. If the clip breaks there is a very real possibility that the iPad will fall out of the folio. Not really worth risking a $900 iPad for a $100 (now only $80) case. If you have not purchased this, I would recommend buying another case from another manufacturer. As far as Logitech goes, it is a shame that the folio is designed so poorly and their support is so bad. The keyboard is actually a nice keyboard with a good feel. It also holds the iPad in a very nice position when using the keyboard, and can be opened flat when using it for games. They should most likely have a recall, or maybe stop selling the case until it is redesigned. I have added a photo that shows where the case breaks.

So much nicer than virtual keyboard
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this keyboard/case back in January, when I purchased my ipad. I had to order it, as they did not have the color I wanted, Mars Red Orange, in stock. It finally arrived over two weeks later and in the mean time I was using the virtual keyboard on my ipad. This keyboard/case was very easy to hook up to my ipad, it works great. I can type so much faster with an actual keyboard, the virtual one was driving me nuts (although I was getting better at it). A little over a month ago, my ipad started slipping out of my keyboard/case and that is when the little clip that holds it in (yes it is just this one little clip, in the picture that holds it in), broke off. Oh no! I loved my keyboard/case, what was I to do. Well, it was still under warranty, so I called Logitech and they replaced it, fairly easy. It did take a little while, but they "gotter done" as my son would say. In the mean time, I used glue dots and scotch tape to hold my ipad into my keyboard/case. Even with all of this, I would not want to be without it. And I would recommend it to a friend, for sure.

Q: QuestionHow long does it take to fully charge? Is there any indicator that lets you know when the battery is low, fully charged, etc?
Asked by FeelingAllFloopy.
- A:Answer I have the rugged folio case and it took about 3 hours to charge initially. The literature says normal charge time is 2-4 hours. There are indicators for the remaining battery life. You can push the battery button and it will either flash green, yellow, or red depending on the remaining battery life. I have been using mine regularly for approximately 2 months and the battery indicator is green. The literature says you can use the keyboard for up to two years on a charge. That is long time but based on my use I think it will last several months at least.

- A:Answer It is for the iPad 1 and does not fit the iPad air 2!

Q: QuestionHas anyone had theirs replaced by Logitech? Mine broke in less than 90 days! After a month and a half the right hand bracket that holds in the iPad is cracked. I didn't purchase the Geek Squad protection on this since it was a small item. I am wondering what kind of hoops I will have to jump through to get warranty service from Logitech. Has anyone else done this? Otherwise I really like the case/keyboard and use it daily but I am disappointed that it broke so soon. I had one previously that broke on the left side but still held the iPad in for over a year, I only had to replace it after the keyboard died.

- A:Answer My first one broke out at the corners and I didn't take out the warranty with Best Buy so I called the company and they replaced it, but it took awhile. I have bought four of them now and all had the same problem, but I now take out the warranty. I love the product, but not the problem with corners breaking out.

Q: QuestionIs there a blacklight or any light in the case to light up the keyboard?
Asked by beabea.
- A:Answer No, case provides no lighting which probably helps with long battery life for the keyboard.

Q: QuestionHow to get folio repaired when broke after 2 months? We bought these for multiple employees who 2 months later are reporting that the plastic that holds the iPad in the folio has broken. How do we get these replaced?
Asked by Anonymous.
This question was asked about the related product: Logitech - Ultrathin Portfolio Keyboard Case for Apple® iPad® Air - Carbon Black
- A:Answer Call Logitech, provide a receipt, and they will replace the case. It has a two year warranty. Request that the case be replaced with a different model than the broken one. They will likely ask for pictures of the damage as well as serial numbers.
