Q: Does this device have Caller ID, announcing the caller's name INSTEAD of the caller's number?
A: my phone announces the name of the person calling unless that number is not saved in my contacts list. I would check your phone settings because most of the information is being generated from your phone.
Q: Can I buy the charging box only? I lost mine, but I have the ear bud.

A: I can only answer the performance of the product I bought. It has a very good performance, but the sound is the downside... it is rather on the low side.
Q: How to turn up volume I did the obvious ,it just isn't loud enough?
A: To turn up the sound you use your phone. I'm sure you figured that out though. I love it! I have to turn it down cuz it's too loud. Maybe yours has a defect ?!?
Q: Just got Hint today and it keeps pairing over and over
