Q: Who is the carrier for this Hotspot?
A: This unit is not linked to a particular carrier.
A: Yes, this is a mobile hot spot.
Q: Does this work with any device or Sprint devices only?
A: Any device.
A: Yes --- ANY device that will connect to WiFi will connect to it. Your phones your computers, even your Smart TV or Smart TV Box will connect. YOUR provider (AT&T or Verizon in this case) do not come into play at all. You are connecting to the hot-spot, not your cellular company.
Q: Why are there no answers to these questions? Do you not know about your own products?
A: Hi I see you must be having trouble getting your around town working I bought mine for my daughter for her Dell laptop because she has no Wi-Fi in her area I tried for over 2 hours to get it to work at my home her laptop kept accepting my Wi-Fi signal and took it easily After that I googled how do I get pc to accept NG Around Town and on there you can see some You Tube videos also I shut my signal off of my laptop so it would not interfere with the Around Town, I went through each thing over and over then finally it took the signal then worked, well after that I turned my Wi Fi signal back on then her laptop would accept either of the signals but a warning if you are around Wi Fi at all its better to use it because the 1Gb that comes with it goes really fast Hope this helps Good Luck to you
Q: Can I use this for things other things such as a laptop, a gaming console(Xbox one), etc..?
A: The short answer is YES --- you can use it for any or all of those devices. Depending on your intended use though, the offered plans may not be appropriate for you without getting costly. For example, using your XBox One, could use up your monthly allotment very quickly leaving you with no data for anything else unless you buy more data for the plan.... THAT could be expensive to maintain for very long.
Q: Whats the benefit of using this as opposed to my smart phone hotspot feature?
A: There are several reasons... 1.) It is most likely going to be a different cellular provider than your Smart Phone is using. Of course that part could be good or bad depending on your service coverage. 2.) Always makes sense to not put all your eggs in one basket as they say. You can use up the data on this device without consuming any of the data on your phone. This could effectively mean that the amount of your phone data and the amount of this device data could be added together giving you the combined amount of both. It may or may not be "cheaper" for that consideration though. 3.) This device has it's own battery....This means you're not killing your smart phone battery to provide WiFi as well as the usual cell phone functions. It also means that you can keep using your phone and provide WiFi at the same time. A function that only the more recent smart phone services can provide, along with the later smart phones. Now, you can have your Wifi and use it all the time.
