Way to go Orbi!
||Posted . Owned for 1 year when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Definitely glad my husband found & purchased this product. After moving from a one story home to a two story, we had a lot of problems with our internet working . We both work from home with his office downstairs & mine upstairs. I was constantly having issues when I was trying to work. Orbi has helped tremendously! We also have two teenage gamers that made matters worse. I don’t know what we would have done without it! I definitely recommend if you need a boost to try this! We had tried a couple others that didn’t work but this did the trick!!

Works Great But Netgear Armor is Unforgivable
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The trial 30 day Netgear Armor security blocks multiple legitimate sites and even when the feature is turned off on the app, it still blocks the sites. This is unfortunate because it is an otherwise excellent solution for my AT&T BGW210 modem which was woefully inadequate and does speed things up quite well. My free trial expires on August 21, 2020, so hopefully this will finally set me free.

Excellent Buy !!
||Posted . Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I am not a Guru by any means I'd say novice to moderate. Set up was easy using the App on my I-phone. 2,550 sq. foot 2 story house. 200 meg download/ 10 meg upload service from spectrum cable to my modem. I have the modem and the Orbi router hooked up in my office on the front left corner, and the satellite plugged in upstairs on the right in the hallway. Excellent coverage throughout the house and even in the front and back yards. 3 computers, 2 laptops, 2 smart TV's, and 4 cell phones. The office computer is hard wired into the Orbi, and all the others are using WiFi. We did a test. We ran the 2 laptops and the 2 TV's running 4K videos from Netflix, 2 computers doing extreme gaming, and surfing the Net on all 4 phones at the same time. NO signal drop or degradation at all on any device !! All were getting 228 meg download and 10-11 meg upload speeds at the same time. Extremely happy with the purchase and performance on the Orbi 2 piece system for this house. Others have had problems. We did on 1 computer at first, but figured out it was the WiFi receiver in that computer. once we changed the PCI card and external antenna, (for $30), in that computer, problem solved. I wish I could give it more stars, but 5 for sure. It also has Bit Defender protection. I have it installed on all our devices for when we're not at home, but for the house, the system blocks Malware before it even gets to the device. The App on my phone gives me notification and even tells me which device it was blocked from. Great product !! If your house is larger, then you might want the 2 satellite system, but for us, this unit works great !!

Best Wireless Router I've Installed!
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This Orbi system is incredible. I was simply trying to get better and faster connectivity by buying a booster for my upstairs office PCs when a tech rep at the Best Buy store in Silverdale steered me towards this "Mesh Network" system. It even comes with a free downloadable app for your smartphone that helps with setup. It can be used to locate the strongest outlet location to plug the Satellite unit into for the best signal. I just plugged it into the outlet at the top of the stairs and BOOM, great signal. I have set up lots of wireless routers in my time and this one was up and running within about 10 minutes, not counting unboxing and reading instructions! Once I typed in my network code using the phone app, the system went through it's internal setup functions and the upstairs Satellite unit became connected, all my office PCs were instantly faster for web browsing and sending & receiving email. We got the unit with a Single-Satellite and I was able to use my old R7000 Nighthawk router as an Ethernet Hub/Switch by simply turning off the radio transmitter using the top panel buttons. Please note that if you need more than "One" Ethernet connector where your main Orbi unit will be installed, get the next level up that has mulitple jacks built-in, or use your old router like I did if you are able.

WiFi in every corner of my house
||Posted . Owned for 7 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. With my router sitting at the one end of my home, and unable to move it, the other half of my house suffered from slow to nonexistent internet speeds. After months of of this painful experience, I decided to purchase this item after much research. The item works great and has taken my internet to new speeds; prior to installing this I had < 10 mbps in a room that now has > 200 mbps. I haven’t had any issues with this product, and it’s easy to manage through the Orbi app. But figuring out how to set this up, did consume several hours of my day. FYI: if your modem is also a router, you will have to take additional steps prior to setting this up.

Superb internet
||Posted . Owned for 1 month when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. After a failing wifi system, it was time to get a new one. I really wanted to make sure that the one I purchased would last a really long time like its predecessor and be able to handle today's modern technology. I chose the Netgear Orbi AC2200 2pack because of the price and coverage. It was on sale at Best Buy, but cheaper at another store a little bit further away. Since Best Buy would price match, I made my purchase at BB. Got a really good deal. The set up was easy and painless. We get great internet coverage throughout the house, outside, and even up the street from the house. It's secure and comes with some great protection.

Netgear RBK20 Orbi ReviewAlthough the original Netgear Orbi (the RBK50) was the first and, arguably, the best Wi-Fi mesh system available, its high price at launch has meant that it isn't for everyone. In particular, the lower priced BT Whole Home Wi-Fi has proved to be a

Q: QuestionIs this compatible with Verizon Fios?
Asked by Nancy.
- A:Answer Yes. Compatible with Fios. Easy to hook up. You will need access to yours FIOS router to disable internet and you can do that via internet login or via the My Fios App. My Best Buy store actually gave me step by step printed directions for setup. Ask them when you buy it.

Q: QuestionI have a spectrum modem which includes wi fi, which I rent from spectrum. Do i need to have spectrum disconnect the wi fi from their modem in order for the Orbi to work properly?
Asked by sjgb.
- A:Answer Yes. You should be able to log into the modem and convert it to a modem only. Just did that with a Comcast one

Q: QuestionIs this a stand alone wi-fi unit or do you need to have a carrier? I have AT&T but, slow speed.
Asked by Chicklet.
- A:Answer The ORBI AC2200 is just a router. In my case, it only takes the signal that's already there from my fiberoptic modem/carrier and wifi's it to other parts of the house that didn't used to get enough signal. Then my computers and TV's take that signal. For that purpose, it's been excellent.

Q: QuestionI have an Apple 1TB Time Capsule (and router). I'd like to continue to use the storage feature. Would I need to create two networks or would these devices play nicely together?
Asked by OnHomeStead.
- A:Answer You can use the Orbi as an Access Point by plugging the Orbi Router into your existing router, set to AP during setup, and it will have a separate SSID and password with the same network as your first router and the satellite will just extend the Orbi router. Doing it this way will allow your devices to, "play nicely together".

Q: QuestionIs there supposed to be any type of light on the router and the adapter when your WiFi is connected?
Asked by Connection.
- A:Answer The only lights available on the Orbi come from the light ring at the top of the Orbi unit and those lights are only interactive during the initial setup process. If a good connection is made it glows a certain color (read directions) but only for a few minutes and then light turns off permanently. It only shows a consistent amber light if there is no connection. But to answer your question - no lights are visible when a strong connection is made and continuous.
