Q: Is the Hue Motion Sensor water resistant for a covered outdoor deck - out of direct spray?

A: I wanted to use it outside as well. The instructions state "indoor use only". Thought I would set it in a window facing outdoors, but it can not work through glass.

Q: Is this sensor work for bedrooms? when you sleep at night the sensor detect as long as you stay in the room right? so how the light goes off? Thank you!

A: Yes, it can be used in your bedroom. When you set it up it can be program how bright that you want your lights to be at certain times of the as well as how long you want the lights to stay on when no motion is detected.

Q: Can the battery be replaced or is the sensor basically trash once the battery dies?

A: Yes. You can replace the batteries in this unit once they are due for a change. Takes AAA's.

Q: Is it possible for a single Hue bulb to be controlled by more than one motion sensor. I want the light turned on when someone enters the basement from either of two entries.The doors are not within site of each other so one sensor won't work.

A: Yes. I have a sensor at both front and back door that turns on same light

Q: I have hue bulb, switch & hue motion sensor connected, When I turn the light on, it will stay on only for few minutes then it goes off by it self, do anyone knows why the light of by itself? Thank you!

A: You can adjust the timing in the Hue App.

Q: Does the motion sensor detect other light sources already present? Meaning, if a room is already lighted through the windows, will it still turn on? My living room gets plenty of daylight, so I would only want the sensor to work after dusk.

A: Yes, this sensor is configurable to be sensitive to ambient light so that it will activate a light only when your chosen light level cut-off point is reached,

Q: Do you need the hue if you have echo dot?

A: What do you mean? echo dot has it's only functionalities and can't control hue bulbs without hue hub. This product is only a motion sensor to automate even more the hue system by turning lights on when motion is detected. It is capable of measuring ambient light and only work when low light is detected. When you have the hue system: bulbs, hub, sensors and accessories, you can voice control it as part of the integration with echo dot, or apple home kit.

Q: i have a hallway light 1 -manual switch that controls 2 different light bulbs.. currently they have hue lights.. Does 1 sensor only connect or speak to 1 hue lights bulb or both lights bulbs

A: You have to have both lights in a group in the hue app for the sensor to activate both. Then pick the group on the sensor settings.
