- Answer AirTags use other iPhones to provide location data. The AirTag's range is unlimited provided that there are iPhones nearby. Within Bluetooth range, Precision Finding will show you precisely where and how far away the AirTag is (on iPhone 11 and 12).

QuestionCan this be used on pets. mine are already chipped but that has to be physically scanned. can this be used in helping find a lost or stolen pet (i would guess if stolen the person would discard it anyway, but that would be an area to start looking)

- Answer Although I agree Tile made Bluetooth trackers mainstream, Apple isn’t just copying Tile, the key here is the use of Ultra Wideband. With the U1 chip, Airtags and iPhones (11 and above) have the sense of direction that Bluetooth trackers do not have. This makes them much more accurate. Also, Apple has more than a billion devices in their network, making it much better than Tile for now.

- Answer Yes, but also no. It will show the location but eventually it will pop up on his phone letting him know that an airtag that doesn’t belong to him has been near him for a while.

- Answer A little longer than a year according to their website. It says they have “standard easily replaceable batteries” which I’m assuming means a coin battery, or something they may sell

- Answer As long as there is an iPhone (doesn’t have to be yours) nearby, it will tell you where it’s at. I sent this with my son on a school trip today and I’ve been able to make sure he’s where he’s supposed to be all day. They’re about 100 miles away from me.

QuestionWould this be a good option for a child's backpack? My son started kindergarten and on day 2 was already sent home on the wrong bus. Sheer panic. I would like something that I can attach inside his backpack for extra safety measures.

- Answer Yes great idea for kids back pack. But they have something better that’s made for back packs if ur child gets stolen tho. Look into it. It notifies the cops and is more accurate

- Answer Yes, you can place it on a bike. It can be tracked anywhere on the globe using the Find My app, and Precision Finding will turn on once your iPhone (11 or 12) is within BT range, leading you directly to the AirTag.

- Answer Yes but not a gps tracker. Utilizes the “Find My” feature on iPhones and pings any nearby iPhones to update its location. Only the iPhone it is paired with can see its location.

- Answer While AirTag is IP67 rated (meaning it should be able to survive up to 30 minutes in up to 3 feet deep water), putting it through a washing machine isn't recommended. AirTag is a great product fit for tracking a teddy bear.
