A:Answer Hello. I purchased this a couple weeks ago. I don’t know about the issues with the chipset. I have Spectrum, and I was constantly losing my connection with their supplied gateway. I purchased this one and got the Netgear Nighthawk AC2300 R7000P router. I don’t game, but I stream and haven’t had any issues. I did a speed test and I consistently get speeds over 100Mbps. I checked for latency and jitter and it tested Ping 28ms to 30ms and Jitter 2.4ms to 3.2ms depending on what device, iPhone X or IPad, I used. Hope this helps.
