It does not have a rear facing camera so any and all pictures must be taken facing the screen. I do not know if it takes video and I do not know the resolution of the camera. However camera specs should be in detailed product description. I believe the main purpose of the camera is video chatting not professional photography. The laptops screen resolution though is a clear 1080p.
