Q: QuestionCan the charger for the portable hand set be on another floor of a house? And will the hand set be able to communicate with the base at one floor's distance?

• A:Answer We use the base at one end of the house on the ground floor. One portable is about 60 feet away on the second floor. Seems to work fine. House is typical wood frame construction, composite shingles, with little to no metal in structure, other than plumbing. One feature that would be nice would be the ability to use the intercom with fewer button or menu selections. The intercom function is complex to use for an elderly person. But the phone works well. Hope this helps.

Q: QuestionI'm reading reviews that the call block feature apparently blocks ALL calls, not just robo-calls? I would not want to turn this feature off as I want robo-calls blocked but NOT other, regular calls. Comments?

• A:Answer Calls from anyone in your directory automatically go through to you and bypass the call blocker. You have 3 options with this phone: 1. callers must say their name and press # for the call to go through 2. callers must press # (only) for the call to go through 3. turn off the call blocker and let all calls go through There doesn't seem to be a way to block only robocalls, but I've had several people call who weren't in my directory and they thought it was a great option to stop spam. I could add their numbers directly from the caller ID to the directory in a couple of steps, and future calls from them bypassed the call blocker feature b/c they were in the directory.

Q: QuestionI've entered the number to be blocked and when they call they are blocked. If I am on the phone talking to someone and the number blocked calls I hear the entire screening message and so does the person I am talking too. Is this a defect?

• A:Answer I'm not sure. My wife bought this phone. She entered about 24 numbers into the directory that she would take calls from and she loves this phone. She get's a call and if it is not in the directory the person has to say there name and hit the pound sign. If she want's to answer she presses the number 1 button. She love's this phone she has already blocked several 800 numbers and we haven's seen them again.
