That sounds about right. I was running all the devices and my Sony avr to the Cavo then to the TV. If you go to their website it will walk you through set up with a avr. Sounds like you are pretty into audio and this device honestly is for some one that just wants to plug straight to TV. Look into a Harmony (I know it takes longer and is fickle at times), but believe you will be.much happier. I tried the Cavo for a week and switched back. Even the family would rather put up with the quirks of the Harmony.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. If your Yamaha receiver is IR and CEC controllable, then Control Center should be able to power it on and off and control the volume. If your Yamaha receiver supports HDMI 4K passthru, all of your sources (HDMI) would connect to Control Center inputs, the Yamaha receiver would connect to Control Center output, and the TV would connect to the Yamaha receiver output. If your Yamaha receiver does NOT support HDMI 4K passthru, then all of your sources (HDMI) would connect to Control Center inputs, the TV would connect to Control Center output, and the Yamaha receiver would connect to the TV via HDMI ARC or Optical (TOSLINK).
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It works with my Sony AVR... you hook everything up to the Caavo Control Center... run the output from that to an input on your receiver, then run the output from the reciver to the TV...
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a Sony receiver and it works fine. You plug all your entertainment devices into the Caavo (Blu-ray, Xbox, Roku), then a HDMI cable runs from Caavo to your Reciever, and finally another HDMI cable runs from the reciever to the TV.
