A:AnswerYou can use your existing landline. The unit can be set for phone priority or fax priority in the menu. Phone priority allows regular phone use until you want to send a fax.
A:AnswerInk carts are specific to each printer. All printer makers change carts knowing that older printers will fail and new printers will be bought, so new printers have new carts. The carts with the new printer have lasted surprisingly long. Bought Epson and the carts lasted just long enough to print 10 pages. I don't look at HP as we have those at work and ink carts don't last,as we only print mono.
You can unload your old carts on Facebook Market Place or eBay.
Just my $0.02

A:AnswerNo. Mfg. says that although similar size, the electronics, etc. may be different. I had 250XL & 251 XL for my old printer, and had to order new cartridges that specifically fit this printer.
A:AnswerI have used it up to 70 lb with no issue. I would think it can handle thicker stock as well. Depending on the size of the stock, you may have to choose a custom paper size. But card stock is a choice under Preferences/Main/Media Type.
