The camera system isn't wireless. I thought it would be free of cords also when I purchased this surveillance system, but the wires make it obvious that you have surveillance. It pretty much has to be close to an outlet in order to work and the monitor has to be plugged in to work.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. They are wireless because they don't need to be wired to your DVR, but they ARE wired because they need to be plugged into a power source.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wireless doesn't mean cordless, which would be an impossible thing to expect from a security camera. The wire is for the power to run the camera. The camera can be mounted in such a way as to make the wire less visible. It helps if you are handy. We went into our attic, drilled a hole near where we mounted the camera, ran the wire through it, then plugged the camera into an extension cord in the attic. We eventually added an outlet dedicated to powering the camera to eliminate the extension cords. The wireless is essential unless you plan on wiring your camera directly to a monitor or dvr device- then you would have two wires running from your camera - one to the outlet for power, the other wire all the way through your attic to whatever location you choose for the monitor/dvr. This is much much more difficult and time consuming but can be done if you are handy. We decided to go the easier route, so we have 2 of these defender units in our home-one for the front and one for the back. Works great. The wireless sometimes blinks out but mostly it stays connected and has been very dependable. We would definitely recommend this system to anyone wanting to keep an eye out on their property.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wireless means there are no wires in between the DVR/monitor and each camera. They all 3 must be plugged into an outlet.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the cameras are wireless back to the base unit, but the cameras still have to be plugged into an outlet for power
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.the cameras are wireless from camera to monitor but the power supply is wired
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You could run an extension to put it in your tree, but it will need to be connected to a power source. The connection to the monitor is wireless.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Thank you for your question Belmont. The cameras include a power cable that should be installed indoors or completely out of the elements. The camera will send video and audio back to the monitor without the need for a wired connection.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Wireless is less wires. Wire free is no wires.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. This item is wireless and the other information is not available.
