The Inspiron 14z (Core i5) includes a large 65WH battery that lasts 8 hours 38 minutes on the MobileMark 2007 battery test.
Hope this helps!

This Inspiron 14z should not have the backlit keyboard option and according to Best Buy's website, is not available in stores at this time. It will be shipped to your home or office.
If you would like to add a backlit keyboard after purchase, you can order Dell Part #PVDG3 and install it with help from this guide:

As it turns out, this laptop does not have the SWITCH lid capability. Since this is a thin, Inspiron 14z, it does not have the swappable lids.
You do have the option to create your own graphic for the lid via Skin It. This creates a cool plastic film that can go on the top and be replaced with new designs as need be. Check out Dell Skinit and you can get more information about the cool feature!

It looks like the 4.2lbs is a mistake on the page. Both Inspiron 14z laptops should weigh ~4.7lbs, since they both include the heavier, but longer lasting 6-cell battery.
Hope this helps!

There are 2 different scenarios here that you will want to look into: traveling and permanently moving.
1) Traveling - If you will just be traveling for a period of less than 6 months, the Dell International Services Program offers the security of knowing you can receive service and support when you travel with your Dell laptop outside your home country.
To qualify for international service, you must purchase at-least the Next Business Day On-site Response Service.

2) Permanently Moving - If you purchase your Dell system in one region and move it to another, the hardware warranty will carry over; however it is limited to parts availability in the region in which you are moving it to. Complete Care/Accidental Damage does not carry over.
A good idea is also to take a look at the Dell website for the region you are moving to and compare it to the system you are interested in here. You will want to compare your configuration with what is available in that region. If there are differences, you may run into parts availability issues.
Finally, you will want to complete an International Ownership Transfer Form anytime the system is moved permanently to a new region:

A:AnswerHello,
These two Inspiron 14z units have the same specifications except for processors. This unit has the more powerful Intel 2nd Gen i5-2430M processor, while the I14Z-0256BK has the Intel 2nd Gen i3-2350M processor. If you are interested in gaming, video editing, etc. with this laptop, I would heavily consider the i5 processor.
Hope this helps!

I have below a link to the Inspiron 14z manual and its specifications:
http://support.dell.com/support/edocs/systems/ins14z/multlang/specs/dao.swf
It does not have integrated 3G/4G modem inside this one. The laptop only has one WLAN slot and it is comes with a Half Mini-Card for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. You can always add an external USB 3G/4G modem to the unit. There are no specific Dell docks designed for the Inspiron 14z but it can use the generic USB based docks that are sold online and are not specific to any one laptop.
Hope this helps!

A:AnswerHello,
The system comes with 1 Year Limited Hardware/ 1 Year Labor warranty from Dell. Here is Dell's Warranty and Policy page:
http://dell.to/qDv6c1
This limited hardware warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship in your Dell-branded hardware products, including Dell-branded peripheral products. Keep scrolling down the page and you will see more information about the remote diagnosis procedure and other terms as well.
When you order from the website, it will tell you if you have to pay tax based upon where you input that you live.
Hope this helps!
