As long as the amp's trigger is 12V based, then it will power on whenever you power on the AVR. You just need a 3.5 mm mono male to male cable for the trigger wire.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There are multiple options for activating the 12 volt trigger, such as turning on Zone 2 or selecting a specific input. It is not activated by turning on the receiver. You will need to use a MONO 1/8 inch audio cable to connect the receiver to the amplifier. I’m using this setup for my zone 2 amp and it works great.

Please try again later.If you connect power amp with this AVR via the trigger cable and set the power amp turn on to trigger, the amp will power on the instant you turn on AVR and power off when AVR turns off. The cable you need depends on the power amp receptacle port. For the AVR, it is 3.5mm mono male connector. If power amp is also 3.5mm jack then you need 3.5mm mono male to 3.5mm mono male connector.
