QuestionDoes it work well on shag carpet rug?

- Answer It works very well on deep pile carpet, but it has a tendency to lift loose rugs, and its rather strong brushes may pull shag strands out of the mat depending on how well its made.

QuestionI know this goes over low pile and switches easily to tile and hard wood, but is it easy to push over high pile? This is for my mom and she needs something easy to push and she loves her dysons.

- Answer Hello Dan, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Total Clean does feature a filter inside of the ball shell of the machine, however the filter does not need to be washed. Dyson Cinetic machines are our first machines to feature no filters to wash or replace, thanks to the oscillating Dyson Cinetic tips located in the cyclone pack. The Cinetic Big Ball upright provides 180 air watts of suction, and unlimited run time, since it's a corded machine. Cleaning is very similar between these two models. - Answer Hi there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The majority of Dyson vacuums feature a spinning brush bar within the cleaner head. When vacuuming up pet or human hair, it can get wrapped around the bristles, and if not removed, can cause issues later on down the road if left to accumulate. We do have our cord-free models with a soft roller head, which was engineered specifically for bare flooring. This soft roller does not have any bristles, and it's great for vacuuming up pet hair, since it won't get stuck in the brush. QuestionMy Dyson Bill Ball vacuum has what looks like a filter in the housing. I removed the small tubular filter and washed it per instructions. I see what appears to be a much larger filter attached to the cylinder. It is covered with large pieces of dust.

- Answer Hello there, this is Kelly with Dyson. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Total Clean does feature 180 air watts of powerful suction power. Dyson machines have higher levels of suction power - while this works for a majority of carpets, there are select fibers that may not be compatible. The Dyson Cinetic Big Ball Total Clean features 180 air watts of suction power, making it a good machine for vacuuming both carpeting and bare flooring. The Total Clean model will include the mattress tool, combination tool, stiff bristle brush, and the stair tool. Our Animal model would include our tangle-free turbine tool, which is the "pet" tool for our upright and canister machines. That tool allows you to pick up pet hair from furniture, stairs or other hard-to-reach areas, and pet hair will not tangle.
