- Answer If your item is under warranty do not use anything other than Epson brand ink but if it's past the warranty and you're not worried about whether it breaks or not because sometimes those cheaper ones will break then you can use them but just keep in mind that it will ruin your warranty and probably be unable to be fixed if something goes wrong
