Unplug rhe unit make sure the filters changed and together plug in hold the filter reset button 30 seconds no more light.

A:Answerthe single hose that attaches to the rear of the unit is to exhaust heat. the AC draws its "warm" air through the vents in the rear of the unit. It's kinda like the MAX AC in your car. the AC cools the air inside the car and draws in that cooled air again and cools it again. This unit cools the room air and then draws it back in to cool it even more.

A:AnswerI don't think so. Everything I found in the manual said only if you run it in a certain mode (can't remember which mode, but not for cooling). We've been using it for a month now (give or take) and has no indication of needing to be drained. I have another one that stops cooling if you need to drain it and I have to do it every couple of days.
