QuestionI want to ensure that the Ionizer is turned off - is there a way to verify this (such as an indicator light etc)? The manual says to hold the "swing button" to activate and deactivate the ionizer. Does that mean the ionizer is off by default?

QuestionA yellow light came on where it says, "clean dust filter". I did clean the filter. But the yellow light is still on. How can that yellow light turn off? Or do I need to do something else to clean it properly?

- Answer According to the factory website guide it says there is a filter reset button. Unplug rhe unit make sure the filters changed and together plug in hold the filter reset button 30 seconds no more light.

QuestionIf we set mode to Auto, fan speed is too high for sleeping. If we set mode to Cool, and fan speed to Low, several times through the night the AC shuts down completely and seems loud at first when it restarts itself. Is there any way around this behavior?

QuestionCan a heat exhaust vent hose be attached?

- Answer the single hose that attaches to the rear of the unit is to exhaust heat. the AC draws its "warm" air through the vents in the rear of the unit. It's kinda like the MAX AC in your car. the AC cools the air inside the car and draws in that cooled air again and cools it again. This unit cools the room air and then draws it back in to cool it even more.

QuestionWhat is the dimensions of the window kit. How tall of a window can the included window kit accommodate? Someone asked the same question a year ago but the Frigidaire rep responded with the dimensions of the air conditioner unit itself.

- Answer The widow kit comes with 2 adjustable panel where one slides in the other so the height can be adjusted according to the size of window opening. Both pieces are almost 3 feet by 6 inches

QuestionDoes this unit need to be emptied ?

- Answer I don't think so. Everything I found in the manual said only if you run it in a certain mode (can't remember which mode, but not for cooling). We've been using it for a month now (give or take) and has no indication of needing to be drained. I have another one that stops cooling if you need to drain it and I have to do it every couple of days.
