A:AnswerDear Nana - this is Nancy at GE Appliances regarding a new refrigerator. This is a very nice model. It does not have the external ice and water dispenser. It offers an internal water dispenser. If you are facing the refrigerator with the doors open, the internal dispenser is on the left wall, but it is difficult to see in the photo. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
A:AnswerNo. You have to pull it out. The annoying part is that the ice cubes fall behind the freezer drawer and into the bottom of the freezer. You have no way of getting them out.
A:AnswerHi JPinGA- This is Sue at GE Appliances. We are excited to hear of your interest in our GE® ENERGY STAR® 24.8 Cu. Ft. French-Door Refrigerator
GNE25JSKSS! We have great news. Both the ice and water are filtered. Check out the filter specifications at the following link: https://www.geapplianceparts.com/store/parts/spec/MWFP - Keep in touch. We love hearing from you. Enjoy!
A:AnswerIt is 32.75 inches wide with doors closed so it should fit in your 33” opening. However, what you need to check is the depth in the opening so that you would be able to open the doors. This fridge is listed at 35” depth and our opening is 24 inches deep and allows for plenty of room for opening the doors. You need to measure height, width and depth then compare to the specs listed for any refrigerators you are considering. Note that this refrigerator also has a bulky hinge for opening the doors at the top of the fridge which obstructs up to about a foot from the front of the fridge at the top. Measure, measure, and measure then measure again.
A:AnswerYes, there is an ice maker. The mechanism that makes the ice is very small in the back of the freezer and does not take up any space. There is a bin that fills with ice in the top drawer of the freezer on the left side. I absolutely love it. I use ice many times throughout the day. I feel like new ice is made quickly. In case you are unaware, this refrigerator also has a water dispenser on the wall of the fridge just inside the left door. I would highly recommend this refrigerator.
A:Answer13 3/4 in wide side by side shelves.. 17 .5 deep. 19 inches deep big shelf on top of vegetable drawers. 19 deep on bottom flat drawer as well. Door shelves are nice and roomy.
A:AnswerHi Dana- Thanks for considering our GE® ENERGY STAR® GNE25JSKSS! The icemaker is located behind the ice storage bucket and can be easily accessed to turn off the icemaker. Also, when the bin fills to the level of the feeler arm, the ice maker will stop producing ice. Therefore, ice should not spill out of the ice bucket. If any ice should spill out, the ice bucket and freezer bin can easily be removed for access. Thanks for sharing your concerns with us. Keep in touch! SUEatGEA
A:AnswerHi heva- This is Sue at GE Appliances. Thanks for viewing our French-Door Refrigerators! We currently do not offer a model without an icemaker. The icemaker can be turned off if not desired or a water line is not available. You can view our selection in white at the following link: http://products.geappliances.com/appliance/gea-category/refrigerators?ascdesc=d&p=1&r=12&sortBy=price&Type=French+Door&Color=White - Keep in touch!
A:AnswerRecommend every 3-months or 300 gallons filtered, whichever comes first. You can order (and is highly recommended) from the manufacturer as 3rd party/aftermarket are not guaranteed and voids your warranty.

A:AnswerHello Caroline - The TurboCool™ setting "revs up" the refrigerator, cooling it quickly after frequent or extended door openings and also when hot items are placed inside.
When this feature is selected, the compressor is activated and the fans turn on at high speed. even when the door is open. The fresh food temperature will revert to the coldest setting for an 8 hour period or until TurboCool is turned off (whichever comes first). It maximizes the cooling ability of the fresh food compartment.
To turn the feature on or off, press and hold the Fridge pad for 3 seconds. On models with a touch screen (LCD) display, press Express Mode.
You will typically see tC in the temperature display when set to TurboCool. It may look like an EC, an upside down F with a C, or something similar. This is not an error code, it is the Turbo Cool (tC) setting.
Please see page 24 of the owner's manual for instructions on removing the freezer baskets to gain access to the area behind the freezer: http://products.geappliances.com/MarketingObjectRetrieval/Dispatcher?RequestType=PDF&Name=49-60758.pdf. -TREY@GEA
A:AnswerHello Yllopny - this is Nancy at GE Appliances and I am happy to help you. The overall height of this refrigerator is 69-7/8". The height to the top of the case is 68-5/8". There should be the following air clearances: 2" in the back, 1/8" on each side, and 1" at the top. The wheels cannot be lowered to make the refrigerator shorter. I hope this helps! Thanks for checking with us!
A:AnswerMy space is configured exactly the same as you describe. I have no problem opening the left door and accessing all the refrigerator space but I would have to pull the fridge forward in order to completely take out the left veggie bin or the bottom hostess tray. Those bins do pull forward enough to get my items in and out.
A:AnswerI agree with Edward.
The neverclean is a marketing ploy to the lazy from GE, it is also an excuse to engineer a fridge even tighter than before. The condensor coils likely can't be cleaned directly, they are housed in a wire cage if you will, and the cage collects the dust before it gets to the condensor, so will the condensor may not have dust on it itself, the air will get restricted through the wire cage dust build up.
Pull the fridge out and remove the cover on the lower back of the fridge. There will be a round wire cage looking thing with dust all over it. I would unplug the fridge. Use a vacuum with a brush attachment, make an old toothbrush, or coil brush, whatever you have to loosen the dust and suck it away with the vac. If you have a coil brush you might can bend it so it reaches the back side of the round cage. If not, maybe run your hand across the back while providing air movement with the vac so the dust gets sucked away.
Great job on wanting to maintain you equipment. Shame on GE for such a hard design to clean and maintain for those of us who don't stare at our phones and TV's all week.
