- Answer To the best of my knowledge the Amazon video App does not support the chromecast directly. I have gotten around this restriction by either mirroring my phones screen or castin the tab in my web browser from my desktop PC. Amazon REALLY wants you buy their fire devices to access their media.

- Answer You can also use the chromecast extension for the Google Chrome browser to setup and stream content. https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/google-cast/boadgeojelhgndaghljhdicfkmllpafd?hl=en I would caution you that this might not be an ideal use of the product as it is meant to be used with your phone as the controller.

- Answer Yes. If you have a Chromecast device on and connected. Make sure your connected to your WiFi (it helps but not necessary). Open your Google photos app on your device and on the upper right side you shoud see the icon to cast, in this instance, to your Chromecast app. Click it. Choose your named device and voilá!

- Answer Well, you can convert any format to any other format. But it can be expensive. The biggest issue is the security surrounding the Audio on HDMI. Digital HDMI Video to DVI Digital Video is fairly cheap. HDMI video to Analog video jumps in price. Pealing Analog Audio off (non copyright) is a little more expensive. Best to upgrade your monitor to one with HDMI. It would be cheaper. Try to find one with Analog inputs too. For the Retro stuff you want to connect.

You can use it for a variety of things, such as, watch Netflix, stream your own videos, show your pictures on your phone or online accounts on your tv, or see your phone on the tv. It's just a streaming device in the way that Roku or Firestick is, but without a remote control and using your phone or tablet.
