- Answer No, you need powered dampers in the ducting to do that. Honeywell has another thermostat that has a remote sensor & allows balancing (if you have power dampers).

- Answer When you turn off your heater the thermostat loose the wifi connection. You need to setup the wifi again. Unplug your thermostat from the wall for one minute and plug it back. When it say “connection settings” on the screen go to your mobil device and find your thermostat.

QuestionI replaced a Honeywell TH8320U with this one. It had (wired) outdoor sensor to "S1 & S2", see image. Showed actual outside temp + lock out the compressor if temps were too low for the heat pump. Does this have the capability, if not, which unit does? Thnx

The Honeywell 7-Day Programmable Thermostat with Wi-Fi requires a C wire, or “common wire” which enables the continuous flow of 24 VAC power to the thermostat; it does not use batteries. - Answer "Hold" will maintain the temperature you set until you press it again to release. This will override any heating/cooling schedules that you may have set up.

- Answer Hi there, thanks for your question. These models are different, the model RTH8560D is battery powered, part of the T5 family and 7 Day programmable thermostat. The system compatibility varies as well. The RTH6580WF is also 7 Day programmable however, the it has Wi-Fi Capability, you can connect it to the Internet to monitor and control your heating/cooling system. (Requires a C or common wire). - Answer Very much so. It is basically a DIY dream. Concise and clear directions. Just make sure you turn off power before you start, no real danger of a shock, just if you cross wires by mistake, you could hurt your system. Even comes with wire labels to label the wires on your old unit to match up with the new unit. (Not all AC installations use the same wire colors, so use the wire tags). You will need to know your HVAC, is it AC only, AC & Elec Heat, Heat Pump, etc. That is covered in the setup directions supplied.

- Answer Yes it is, use it on my AC / Heat Pump w/gas back-up, (same for electric back-up), you need an "O", "B" or "O/B" wire from your unit. In the settings, change it to what works for your system. I was unsure, so set it to one setting, didn't work, so changed to the other setting, works like a dream.

- Answer Hi Sally, thanks for contacting us. This model has two options for fan; Auto and On. Auto is when the fan runs only when the heating or cooling system is on (most commonly used setting).On, will set the fan work continuously until yo stop it. - Answer Pull your current thermostat off and look to see if there is an unused wire (usually white) . You may have to look inside the wall behind thermostat.
