QuestionCan the app support two different home locations with these thermostats? We just bought a lake home with this thermostat and already have our home thermostat connected to the app. We can't figure out how to add a second home.

- Answer You need to set up different accounts with different emails for each house. Then sign out of one house and sign in to the 2nd house to control separate locations. It may be easier to put one house on your phone and the other house on your wife's phone. That way you do not have to sign out and sign in.

- Answer You have to manually change from Heat to Cool on the thermostat or the phone app. This model thermostat does not have that capability. Honeywell does have thermostats with the auto switch capability, but they are more expensive. This is an excellent WiFi thermostat for the price.

- Answer The manual that came with the thermostat has the steps to reprogram it. The small print is hard to read, so I downloaded the PDF manual from the Honeywell website.

- Answer There are multiple ways. From the thermostat or the phone app, go to "System" and select "Off". On the thermostat, press the "Hold" button. From the thermostat or the phone app modify the schedule to keep the same temp all the time.

- Answer Yes. 5Ghz routers also support 2.4Ghz. Almost all Internet of Things(IoT) devices like WiFi thermostats, doorbells, security cameras, refrigerators use 2.4Ghz because it has a greater distance range than 5Ghz and IoT devices do not need the speed of 5Ghz.

- Answer This item does not take batteries. You need a common wire to power the unit. This is a 5 wire unit not a 4 wire unit. Hope this helps!

- Answer Hold button overrides program and allows you to maintain a specified temperature. So, while in HOLD, your thermostat won’t operate on programmed schedule. It will maintain HOLD temperature until you turn HOLD off.
